Pros: Beautiful view of the beach and the Caribbean Sea Amazing food, especially the salads Friendly and attentive staff Sunbeds for free If you buy a lunch in the restaurant Cons: Can be noisy due to the nearby airport Can be crowded during peak season

We accidentally ended up here yesterday and it was fabulous. We didn’t even take advantage of the beach chairs but enjoyed the delicious food and wonderful service. My family order skirt steak, club sandwich, Caesar salad and a burger. Everyone loved it!! Highly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely service! The fish and chips were really really good! I guess we didn't understand the beach chair situation clearly. We just claimed two, but then we were told they were reserved and he'd make us a spot which he did promptly. So maybe just ask for direction. Also we ate at the tables, then moved to the beach but you can just order food to the beach which would've been fun.

A hip day club restaurant/bar on the beach where some British drama series is filmed. This place is cool! The brie and honey pizza 🍕 was oh so delicious but took a long time.

Really disappointing. Came for lunch. Ordered a cheese and charcuterie board, the meat was discoloured and did not look fresh. The service was super friendly, and the location is nice so recommended for drinks and beach.

My husband and I had our wedding at the Karabanas next door to Karakter. Mark and his wife were a pleasure to work with during the year of intense planning. They made us feel so at ease with having our wedding at their place. I highly recommend the beauty that is Karabanas for your wedding! This place is great if you looking for good food & FREE BEACH CHAIRS & UMBRELLA! Lot of the places on the beach charge for chairs & umbrella but this place doesn't as long as you order food or drinks. Great view of ships, nice open beach. Only thing is airport is right behind it so you will constantly hear loud planes take off so be prepared but if you can deal with that then you will be fine. They can work on being a little more tentative to guest on beach, I had to wait several times for someone to come serve me even asking multiple times & it was not busy at that time but that's all I can say. The food was excellent. I had the salmon ceviche and the fresh ratatouille. I also tried the croque monsieur that wasso tasty. We all enjoyed our food and the service. Highly rexommended

Not the “old” Karacters, we knew. Waitress was very helpful explaining the menu, but the menu was very limited and that was disappointing. Ambiance was nice but will not return.

UPDATE: December 2019 - Come here every year when cruising. We either taxi here or rent a car. Beach is beautiful year round. Service is always low key and chill. Love that they let you have a beach chair if you are ordering food. March 2018 - Best service, great local fare menu! Can't beat the location and view. Can't wait to come back!!
