We came here for my wife's birthday and dropped around $300. We led with a nice bottle of champagne of course. The rabbit small plate and celery root salad small plate were amazing, as was the bread w herbed butter--wow on the butter--and the pear dessert. Our entrees (steak frites and duck stew) were fair--nothing to set them apart from other nice French restaurants but still enjoyable. The ambiance and vibe was really cozy yet laid back...next time I want to eat on the roof, but it was raining so that wasn't happening this go. Shout out fir the great service all around. We'll be back. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Duck Cassoulet
I had heard a lot about Jolie's, my expectations were high. The restaurant is smaller than I thought and it was very cold the day we went; you could feel a chill every time the door was opened. We initially were seated at the first table by the door making the door situation pretty uncomfortable. We also had front row seats to a dispute over someone who said they had a reservation but the staff didn't have it recorded. To their credit, Jolie's staff stayed professional and worked to provide the best solution they could for the party. They also allowed us to relocate to a table away from the front door which we greatly appreciated. We ordered the steak frites and the daily special croque madame for our entrees and the apple tarte for dessert. The food was OK but not memorable, the frites were our favorite part. With so many good restaurants in the area I think we will choose elsewhere next time. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I recently visited Raleigh for the first time and went to Jolie for dinner one night after reading such positive reviews in travel blogs and on Google. Jolie did not disappoint! Located in a cute neighborhood and it has a modern chic feel. I sat at the bar and enjoyed every bite! I had the escargot and it was so flavorful! Garlic, herbs, butter - stuff dreams are made of with broccolini and grilled sourdough! Yum! For dessert I loved how tasty and refreshing the peach pastry was with raspberry ice cream! And Sam was stellar and great to talk to. She made me feel so welcome sitting at the bar. Talking to her was like talking to an old friend - even though we just met! She makes killer cocktails and has amazing recommendations. Thanks Sam and Jolie! :) Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We went to have a nice day date and have a bit of a celebration and it was great, we actually sit outside on the little tables they have on the sidewalk and it was a great experience, if the day allows it, highly suggest it. The staff is super friendly and quick service. Our food was amazing, the flavors and presentation was excellent. This is the second time I go there and for sure will continue to come back! Highly recommend the fish dish and the potato and leeks soup, it's out of this world!!! Their cocktail selection is great and all of them are super tasty! They also have a mocktail on deck. Highly recommend it 🔥🔥🔥 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Steak Frites Flat Iron Sauce Au Poivre Herb Frites

One of my girlfriend’s favorite restaurants. The cuisine is always amazing and staff if kind and knowledgeable. Sitting at the bar can feel cramped and bumpy. Worth it for the view 💁🏼‍♂️ Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
I had the chance to stop in this last Tuesday and grab a seat at the bar. Kelsey greeted me as I walked in. Ryan was behind the bar & gave some great suggestions on the wine & the food. The open kitchen was a nice addition. I had the smoked Salmon Rillettes with toasted bread. It was so good! The kitchen cooked a perfect Duck breast dish on special. I don't usually like dessert but the chocolate mousse was well balanced. I had to finish the whole thing. I need to make a reservation with some friends sometime for the rooftop patio. It does not feel like you are in Raleigh when you are dining here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Our journey to Jolie was somewhat unconventional. We were told by local friends to grab a bite at Crawford & Son but were too late to get a short notice reservation. Sister restaurant Jolie is next door and we were able to secure a res up on the roof deck. What a blessing in disguise. Jolie offers updated French cuisine as the name would indicate. The roof deck is small but we’ll covered to hold off the strong late-afternoon/evening sun. The service upstairs is quick and attentive. Drinks come quickly. Orders are taken and food is expedited with an even flow. Our first round of cocktails were the Nightshade (tequila based), Coastal Cowboy (bourbon) and Daybreaker. All well made and refreshing in the summer heat. The seasonal menu and food is exceptional. We sampled nearly 3/4 of the menu across our party of four. For starters, we sampled the Pain et Beurre, a rich Crispy Duck Confit and a flaky Summer Vegetable Tart. All phenomenal. For entrees we ordered the Steak Frites, a Gem Lettuce Salad that featured summer peaches, Parisienne Gnocchi and the star, the nightly special, was a Poached Monkfish with Potatoes, Beans and a Lobster Sauce Piquant. We split two of the desserts. A Summer Peach Melba Galette and Chocolate Coulant Cake with Poached Cherries. Parking is tough in Oakwood. Street parking was our best option and luckily we found a quick spot. We’ll be back for sure. A great experience and we still want to try Crawford & Son as well. Phenomenal! The best French restaurant in town, HANDS DOWN! The steak frites was one of the best I've had (and I've had it several times in Paris) and the steak tartare was high quality and very flavorful. The moment I tasted the dessert, I could tell it was house made. I later asked our waitress and she confirmed it. Quality! The atmosphere was very much like a Paris cafe. I love coming here to get my French fix when I am missing Paris. Never had a bad meal here from drinks to apps, main course and dessert! Treat yourself!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Nice French Bistro concept 👌 😍. Very cute spot, I'll recommend the rooftop! The highlight of the evening was Ryan was very attentive, and the attention to detail was on point. The cocktails we ok 👍, you won't go wrong with the happy hour 😊. The escargot were unique, very different from the traditional ones. 😀 Overall, the food was good but more delighted with the service. Every detail at Jolie is perfect, from the curated drink and food menu to the atmosphere, even the stairs and restrooms are beautiful. This is the best meal I've had in the states, it is expensive but worth the cost as each dish is really that good. I had the warm gougeres (phenomenal) and roasted mushroom soup (again delicious), and my partner enjoyed his salmon dish. I would highly recommend this to any vegetarians looking for (imo) Michelin level French cuisine - Jolie has multiple standout vegetarian options per course.
