Excellent, excellent hot dogs. This isn't a bbq joint. Come for the hot dogs. Toasted buns, good chili and slaw. Just perfect! No place to sit down to eat, so plan on eating standing up, usually out in the parking lot. Food was good, the experience was better. You really get the old feel to the restaurant. Everyone was friendly and the outside seating was a couple tree trunks and a homemade bench which I loved! What a great historic place. They had a special for a two hot dog, bag of chips and a can soda for 7.60 and that’s what we got with the addition of a bbq sandwich. Wonderful experience! My dad ate here as a little kid. Now he's brought me and my daughter here. The chili and slaw hotdog was great! My dad and husband had the All The Way dogs. We went back in to order seconds. Love how they fry their buns too! Delicious!

This was rated as the best hot dog place in NC so I finally got around to trying it. Couple hot dogs all the way which seemed to include chili and slaw. Buns were lightly toasted. Thought they were really good hot dogs, so the number 1 ranking seems legit (I know a couple other places that I think are right there with them). I think buttering the edge of the bunns would be better when toasting them on the grill, and I may not have said all the way, but sure thought so, you'd think mustard comes on all the way , but hey its a hot dog, it did taste like old oil on edges of bun, im sure it will be as good or better the next time! Just got three all the way for lunch. Top tier hot dog in the classic Southern style. Rivaled only by the Martinsville Speedway and the Peoples Gas down the street from the Speedway but these take the cake.
