I ordered a burrito here and it was OK. Nothing to go crazy about very average, flavor was bland too, I had to use a lot of salsa. Also DO NOT come around 12pm that's when all the high-schoolers are getting lunch and it's obnoxious/crowded. I even called in and still had to wait in line, not worth the wait, I'd recommend going to one of the other Mexican locations in Alameda. This place is excellent! Ingredients are always fresh and abundant, the cooks and cashier are warm and helpful, and the prices are very low for what you get. Quite disappointing, we stood in line for almost hour to try their pancakes, was disappointed. Not as tasty as people rave. They did try to accommodate and open the other sections for us to be seated quicker. Food was big portioned. The hashbrown tasted very oily and a weird taste. Wow! The food was great. I love coming across these cute little places. The staff was nice and served us promptly. I had the super burrito with carne And I couldn’t finish it. We also had the guacamole and chips. It was very tasty. There wasn’t any clean tables when we arrived but they were super busy. There is a good selection of food here and you should definitely leave full. It’s located in a good location. The parking is limited but there is a parking garage within walking distance. If you park before 5 in the garage there was a charge.

I'm not sure how this place has 4.8 stars out of 290 reviews. The food is terrible. Not just mediocre Mexican food, terrible Mexican food. Picked up to-go on Saturday at 4:45 and you would think the food was cooked Thursday at midnight. I've never had more bland Mexican rice, like white rice with a tiny bit of orange food coloring. Beans? Terrible. Enchillada sauce? Terrible. $60 for nachos, an enchilada plate, quesadilla, and a side of rice and beans.. don't waste your time or your money. I have been going to this place since forever like when It was formally know as Alameda Taqueria. This is hands down the BEST Mexican food I have ever had. I have never once had a bad experience. The food is always fresh and delicious. The staff is absolutely amazing and not to mention the root beer is the best that I have ever had!! If you haven't eaten hear then your missing out!!
