The bar is beautiful and has a fun atmosphere… the service… 👎👎👎!!!! No personality, trying to ask about the beer choices- it is a tap room right??? just kept pointing to the QR code, not busy enough to not have a conversation with patrons. Spent more time chatting with fellow bartender than helping customers. Finished our drinks and never came back… Maybe a different night with different servers but we won’t be back for a while.

I will forever be grateful for the bartender that was on duty Saturday night, January 13th. My sister arrived via Amtrak, but because of the snow and extremely cold subzero temperatures was not able to get a cab. She was able to stay warm inside the bar until a family member picked her up. She was offered a warm drink and pizza and the bartender even went across the street and Rescued her luggage. 🧳 He went above and beyond. If their service to patrons is anything like their kindness to strangers, this bar deserves even more than five stars!!!!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I've been to the Tap House several times now and am surprised each time about their lack of good service, or having any servers at all. And, not having items such as tonic is shocking. I enjoy gin and tonic. Their beer selection is ok, especially if you like IPAs (which I don't). The location and set-up is good. The Pizza may be the only food they serve, but it is good. This place is worth a visit, especially as they grow and learn. Price per person $20–30 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3

They're always willing to put the Sporting KC games on for me even when they have been super busy. Great place to hang out anytime of the day. The pizza next door is a great addition, especially after a few beers. Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Parker is the best bartender of this place. He was very hospitable, and didn’t judge us for ordering wine at a beer bar. Parker is 10/10. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Not a great first impression. Bar staff was very friendly and meant well, but it's like they've been hired and left to figure things out on their own. It's not their fault. No training. We were told by staff this location has been open for 3 weeks, but there is another location in KC that's been open for several years. The manager, on the other hand, was rude and snarky, and either unwilling or unable to deal with a difficult situation. We later found out, sometime shortly after we got there and opened a tab, their ordering/payment system went down. This was apparently a nationwide issue with their service provider. Understandably, it was out of their control. However, over the next couple of hours, we witnessed all staff continue to offer to run tabs and never once mentioned to their customers about the problems with the payment system. It was only after a customer next to us tried to close out his tab and was informed the tabs couldn't be closed until the end of night shut down, and it would include an automatic gratuity because of house policy. After bartering to come in the following day to drink, it was agreed they wouldn't close his tab and wouldn't charge automatic gratuity. Throughout the evening, numerous customers were left standing at the bar waiting to sign for an order because they wanted to pay as they went, but were never told of the issues, or were never given an explanation. They were ignored. When it came time to close my tab, I was also informed of the problem. I was not willing to leave an open tab and informed our bartender, who then offered to get the manager to explain again. I let the manager know I wasn't interested in leaving an open tab. I also questioned why they continued to offer new customers the option of running open tabs and never explaining the situation to them. He stated there was no way he was calling his boss with the problem. He'd get fired if he did so. His position was the only other option was to close for the night, and that wasn't happening. When I offered to pay cash, his response was, "no one ever carries cash, and they're not equipt for it. " I knew this to be false because earlier in the evening I witnessed a bartender struggling to calculate how much change to return to a customer. After snarkily repeating his previous statements and belligerently offering to just comp my tab, I declined his offer. I told him I wasn't looking for free stuff. He walked off. I had to wait another 10 mins to get the attention of staff to let them know we were leaving and to make sure they didn't add anything else to our tab. As advertised, the bar is dog friendly. Personally, I like this. It might be better if they limited to slow periods, and not on a busy Saturday night. Staff witnessed an altercation between two dogs in the main bar, with numerous other patrons standing around and between the dogs, and said nothing to the owner of the aggressor dog. The other dog owner turned around and left. I'm guessing the first time someone is bitten, they policy might change. They definitely have a great location in downtown LS. Lots of flat screes to watch sports, as well as a back patio that was nice for sitting outside and enjoy beers on a sunny day, or calm night. Especially since they're planning on being one of the few downtown bars to be open on Sundays. It's hard to believe these owners have numerous other locations, and this is how they've opened, even running out of basic bar supplies very early in the evening. This was something you'd expect from people who've never opened a bar or restaurant before. We'll see what comes about in another couple of months when we try for round two. Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
