We've been going to this place every now and then. The food is very nice and the owner/manager is a very friendly person. Definetelly recommended place to visit. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Very nice Indonesian restaurant. We have ordered the different Sate options with lamp, chicken and pork skewers and different sauces that match the meat really well. Also the dish Rames Frederik was a very good choice for someone who likes to combine a rice dish with spicy beef pieces, nice vegetables in spicy coconut sauce, pickled vegetables and spicy egg! The service was very helpful and the portions quite big. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

The service by the young waitress was impeccable, the interior was nice and clean. However, unfortunately the food was appaling. We had Sate, chicken soup, and some kinde of rice bowl with chickem. The chicken from the Sate was pre-grilled, at least a day old, and accordingly dry and tasteleses. The chicken soup was apparentlly wamed up unprofessionally (it had below body temperature arriving at the table), I guess a microwave was used. The bowl we had was terrifying, the rice was definitely not fresh and tasted like cardboard. This restaurant has, considering it's location and intereur, a big potential. Upgrading the food quality to a bearable minimum would be advisable. Edit after reply from owner: I just double-checked positive and added photos for reference. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €10–20 Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Pre-cooked food sitting at the counter is warmed up in the microwave but takes more than 35 mins wait after placing the order. The food tastes adapted to non Indonesian flavors and lacks authenticity. Expensive too. 🔸️ Rames Ketjil 👍👍 Rice tastes parboiled, bloated and soggy. Dishes are savoury but not tasty or good quality. You can indicate the level of spiciness you want but you are not allowed to choose your dishes 😒. 🔸️ Gado-Gado 👍 Icy cold vegetables. Peanut sauce is a starchy brown spice sauce with very little peanuts. Sauce is hard to digest. --- Large restaurant with a big takeaway counter and dining areas. Dim interiors. Few service staff. Polite service. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Courtesy is not the strong thing in this place. We took takeaway because there was no place in the restaurant, the service was disgruntled and the food was delicious, not so healthy full of sugar and salt. It would have been more pleasant for us if they had served us happily. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person €10–20 Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

We wanted to order a pot of tea first said it in Dutch but server only speaks English apparently so it was repeated in English. Afterwards we got 4 separate cups of tea... Ordered our food and then heard that they didn’t have 80% of the things we ordered. Which Indonesian restaurant does not have two types sates and saoto in the afternoon? We left and paid for the 4 cups of tea that we didn’t even finish, which came to a total of €10 which is unbelievably unreasonable especially after them misunderstanding us twice and not having most of the dishes on the menu. This would all be prevented if they told us beforehand which dishes are unavailable. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €1–10 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

Nice restaurant, friendly service. I had the vegetarian rice table, very tasty (“erg lekker”). Good that they have a vegetarian menu and plenty of à la carte vegetarian dishes. “Spekkoek” (literally “bacon cake”) for desert, I never knew this was a vegetarian dish - the layers of the cake vaguely resemble bacon.

I love Indonesian food so I decided to have a lunch here spontaneously. They asked me if I am alone and seated me in a dark corner just behind the bar. The menu comes. I want to order a mock tail. They say ‘no, we don’t have it sorry.’ and show me frizzy drinks. I say ‘no, thank you, I will have chicken soup then.’ To my disbelief, she says ‘no, we don’t have it sorry’ I thought she was making of fun me. It is the basic dish in any toko! I said ‘what do you have?? Then I leave.’ What a horrible place. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2

Banging rijsttafel! Service was good, but giving it 5 stars because of the food. Portions for the rijsttafel seemed small at first, however you can ask for some extra portions if it's not enough, which I think is a very good concept against waste.
