About
A lot of guests point out that waiters serve perfectly cooked hash browns here. Most likely, you'll come back to this cafe later to try great coffee. A number of reviewers note that the staff is energetic at this place. If you want to experience professional service, you should go to Hy-Vee Market Grille. But this place is not highly appreciated by Google users who provided it a below average rating.

Pancakes today were 1.5 inches thick! I told the woman that delivered my food to my table that I have never in my 63 years of life seen pancakes like that & that it was unacceptable. She seemed to not understand why I was complaining and said " Well, I will take them back & see what he can do"... She came back with new pancakes ( this took about 15 minutes & there was no one else eating at this place during this time) that were 1inch thick (acceptable, but still way thicker than normal). Not sure why the cook & the waitress couldn't understand that the pancakes looked abnormal. Staff needs to be trained better. Wish that the manager at Dodge Street Hyvee would look at these comments! Service was quick. I don’t like ordering and paying outside before you even sit down. I get the business model, I still don’t like it. Wings were not colossal! They were previously frozen. With as many wings they have access to, really! Frozen wings!?

We waited for 45 minutes to have our order to be taken, we waited another hour to get our food the bacon was weird tasting and was cold the pancakes were burnt, cold and tasted bad. I give it a one star because of the chocolate milk witch was half decent. There were little to no waters. The omlet was cold to and the hash browns were terrible. I will not be going here for a long time. The only good thing about this place is how clean the design is .

It's gone ownhill since Covid, but I understand the needing to make a change, since it was never very busy. Still the maple bacon wontons are among my favorite appetizers anywhere. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
the server was nice but the kitchen staff were rude, they are not suppose to close until 8 for the restaurant, my family and I came in at 7:45 and just wanted 2 appetizers but were told everything was shut down and they wouldn’t serve us.
This was my 3rd time eating here in 2 mos...like the previous 2 experiences, I had a substantial wait time to be greeted, seated and given my drink . The food was ok but,it still took a long time to get it. Way overpriced for the minimal amount of food. I ordered the Ribeye and eggs...eggs were good but, the Ribeye looked like flank steak. Not worth going back.
This place has changed since it opened several years ago. It used to be a sit down and be served restaurant. That is no longer the case. You now order at a cash register, pay, and take a number. They do bring the food to the table for you. It is much more cafeteria like than before. The food is still pretty good, but much more limited on the menu. They offer pizza and other buffet style service (non of it is all you can eat except the salad bar and Chinese.) They do have a bar, but I have only ever ordered a long island ice tea, so I can't comment on their drink selection. The room is lined with TVs and they are happy to put on any program you like. The burgers are probably their strong suit and they have several options. The prices are reasonable.
Went there to get wine and an appetizer. They didn't have any of the wine we wanted and after ordering the appetizer we were told that they haven't had that appetizer in awhile. The waitress was completely frazzled and forgot to bring out our bruschetta, which was advertised as being on toasted bread, but of course our bread was completely soft. We both ordered Asian salads that were drenched in dressing and missing ingredients. Needless to say our happy hour turned into a crappy hour. Not sure how a restaurant can be out of food and drinks when it's attached to a grocery/liquor store. Last time I will eat here.
It's good for if you're on the go going grocery shopping, I wouldn't recommend it for a real restaurant experience though, the place really just has glorified fast food. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
