I was coming to your location to buy a few thing. While exiting by pickup, I fell right on my backside. There was no warning. I know you can't police your entire parking lot. However, maybe you should check for patches of ice. I am 70 years old and could have broke hip. Good thing I am in shape and exercise. There was little concern from your associate other than to ask if I was okay.
Have loved this store, and all Hyvee my whole life. Worked at a location in town for 4 years. Not one person here knows how to properly bag groceries. Constantly putting bread and soft goods with boxes or cans. Cold food with warm food. Frozen with dry goods. Just a disaster. The prices have also become outrageous... 18 eggs at Walmart is $1.88. 12 eggs at hyvee cost a minimum of $5.50. 12 Oz medium egg noodles are $0.99 at Walmart, $3.50 at hyvee. I can't justify paying 3-7 times as much for groceries just to support a local business.
GOT THE CHINESE 2 ENTREE OF PEPPER PORK AND CHICKEN MUSHROOMS WITH LOMAIN, HOWEVER I BEING A COOK WOULD GIVE A 1 STAR BECAUSE THE WOMAN WHO SERVED ME TONIGHT SEEMED A BIT RUDE AND NOT FRIENDLY ALSO THE PEPPERED PORK I WANTED TO TRY BUT HAD TO THROW IT OUT BECAUSE IT WAS A OVER KILL ON THE BLACK PEPPER WHICH IDK WHO DOESNT KNOW BUT PORK TAKES ON ALOT OF SEASONS AND SAUCE SO A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY SAME AS THE ZUCCHINI , SO WOULD I GO BACK FOR THAT ONE PROBABLY NOT SORRY
Omgoodness! I LOVE this store. I am in town working for a few months and am from Indiana. We have nothing like this back home! I go twice a week now and drag the husband with me. He loves it too. The other day we spent 309 on steaks, mushrooms etc. We also bought 8 jalapeño wraps for the grill which by weight was over 20$ . They stunk. I should have bought the stuff to make them myself because Hyvee ones fell apart. I was sad about it. There was nothing left inside at all😳
I was very impressed on how much their health food section has grown since last year. We come back every Christmas and this is our go to Hy-Vee. It's reassuring to know there is a good selection of dairy & gluten free items. I was also very impressed with the kindness of the staff!
Very busy time to shop, Saturday morning, before super bowl Sunday and valentine's Wednesday, however, still great flower selection, everywhere, as welk as valentines candy. More lanes could have been open, to help increase checkout time efficiency, thus helping overcome their challenging, over-full parking lot.
Service is pretty much non-existent. All the employees there want you to do everything yourself such as activating your own gift cards. I watched three employees standing around talking along with 2 managers while 1 cashier bagged everything up. If you go to the service counter for anything they direct ( tell you ) how to do it as if you haven’t already tried it that way. I have been waiting since September 2023 for a so called physical perks card ( supposedly they actually exist) when I asked at the service counter they stated they do not physically have them at the store to activate. It’s a shame it seems like Hy-Vee has decided to go with the flow with the rest of the world and let sub-par employees and work show what the stores have become.
Wide selection of items. Burbachs dairy whole milk is usually hard to get in my experience.
Kitchen has good food as well as a nice little sit down and bar area by the kitchen to order off menu or sit down and eat your food selected out of the hot cases.
Not a big fan of hy vee. I stopped for their delicious cheese spread and bought some salmon spread as well. I got a couple of ready made meals also. They do have amazing food counters and ready to warm meals. The meat, cheese, butcher and deli sections are well worth a visit. Parking was easy and close when I stopped. Many sections were not manned by any people though, that was disappointing.
