Sarah in the cake decorating is the queen of frost(ing), the GOAT, and the commitment to making a cake juuuust right is amazing. Our toddler got that chaotic excited energy but she loved it. Thank Sarah for making a toddlers birthday party one to remember!
My first visit. Just moved from Co. Prices were a bit steep compared to other stores so you need to "shop the sale" when things are on sale.
Was approached twice by staff asking if I needed help(one was wondering why I was taking photos then gave me a thumbs up when I explained I was a Google reviewer). Very pleasant staff.
Shelves were very clean and well light in many places. A few items I wanted (from magazine coupons of the week) were out of stock so my advice is to hit those on the first day instead of the last day. Poor inventory management there.
Did not check the restroom but it was marked well.
Check out asile was a bit fickly. After doing a dog bag(coupon) and then milk, it said unexpected item in bag(milk). Removed it and it still didn't go away. Replaced milk and moved dog food bag then it said to replace item in bag. Put the dog food back and then under the milk line it said unexpected milk bag. I called for assistance but by the time someone came, it cleared itself up.
Has a cute small post office in the niche as well. Drive through pharmacy as well.
Nice place but like I said.... shop the sale.

2 more visits later, this place has dropped another star for not inventorizing their red hot deals or even the weekly coupons when they plan the coupons out ahead, they should also plan the stock. Hopefully they improve but judging from comments on their Facebook page this seems to be a problem. This was at the one off 108th and Fort.
Just moved to town and was going to Fairway for all of my meat but someone told me about how good of quality Hy-Vee's feet was yes the meeting was very good quality and the pricing wasn't too bad but the associate that I dealt with behind the counter was a grouch if you hate your job so much find a different one I won't be going back to there for any Deli purposes and I will be letting others know the same
Used to be my go to for groceries but hy-vee has gotten so expensive. It's always so crazy inside & they've added a candy aisle..seriously way too much.
I wish they would have extended their Health Market or wine & spirits. I like that I don't have to purchase a full box of most protein/health bars if I just want to try a few. Would like a greater selection.
Friendly employees & clean. Unfortunately not many cashiers of course. I do really like the pharmacy! 👍
We went on a Saturday afternoon, the lady and gentleman working the samples stand were so sweet. They interacted very well with my grandkids and made sure to offer them a piece of the "free fruit" for kids. Nice touch.
I'm not a huge fan of Hy-Vee.. their ads are super confusing and now they want us to join their super secret club to get better prices.. Not much about product placement makes sense in these stores. Why do they label an aisle with crackers but only half of the cracker selection is there.. the other half is in the soup aisle..
Your average Hy-vee, nothing particularly good nor bad about it. Just would likely prefer Walmart for anything that's not specifically on sale due to most items being 5-10 cents more.
Stopped in this morning to get some breakfast and let me tell you! I thought I was in a high class restaurant! The omlette was delicious. The potatoes were fire! Even the bacon was good good good! Food was so good it made me forgive them for not having rhe wine depth open yet lol at 0600.
Awesome Veteran's Day Free Breakfast! Food was excellent & plentiful. Then my wife enjoyed filling our cart with necessary items and a few from the pharmacy. Specials and "in-store" manager sales are everywhere. Yes! There IS a friendly smile in every isle.
Hy-Vee is just AWESOME.

I went to Hy-Vee deli on Fort Street last night, December 20, 2023 to order some holiday platters and a dinner. The workers at the deli acted like I was from Outer space, Like I was asking for some strange thing. Finally a manager came and told me that They were no longer were taking orders for catering or holiday dinners. I said “well, you have this big display, and all these advertisements And signs for holiday dinners and platters. Why are you advertising if you don’t have anything?”
She just shook her head and said “no no we are no longer taking orders no way”
So don’t go to Hy-Vee if you want anything.
