The food was great, the servers were on top of it and the atmosphere was fun. The Beef on Weck is fantastic! The only negative thing I have to say about our experience was that the bench to sit on during dinner was so uncomfortable. I couldn’t wait to leave because my butt was hurting. The backrest leaned you so far that you practically can’t use it, so there’s no back support. It was like sitting on a bleacher.

Absolute hidden gem in downtown Winston-Salem! We ended up here after being utterly disappointed by a place right up the block, and let me tell you; if we didn’t have a show to get to last night, we could have stayed here for hours! The bartender was so attentive and kind, and the food and drink was exceptional. We ordered the pretzel bites appetizer with cheese and mustard, and talk about starting high! The pretzels were buttery and hot with a crispy outside and fluffy inside. The cheese was AMAZING! I saved it to dip my burger and tots and I really could have just eaten it with a spoon. We ordered the classic burger and the bbq bacon fried onion burger with sweet potato fries and tots, respectively. Everything was delicious, hot, and fresh. I have a long-standing dislike for sweet potato fries, but I shamelessly ended up stealing 90% of the sweet potato fries on my wife’s plate! They were crispy, sweet, and savory. The perfect accompaniment to the burgers.
There are plenty of TVs to watch, whether you’re at the bar or seated at a table. This staff knows what they’re doing, and they do it so well!! The quality of the food, drink, and service you get at such an affordable price point is beyond awesome. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive 2hours again to eat and drink here.

Damn good burger and sandwich. I have burger with pimento cheese but I see other people have subs and they enjoy themselves too. Sides are no joke either. You can tell they put some effort into it, even if it is just burgers and fries
They have many daily drink specials. Good place to eat and hangout and watch the games. There are plenty of TV to watch whatever team you support.

I’m originally from Western NY, 30 miles from Buffalo. You don’t realize when you’re young how regional food is. I ate Beef on Weck sandwiches all the time. Come to find out no one else makes them. So when I found a local place that made them, I had to go. They did not disappoint! Took me back 35 years ago. The wife also got the fish fry, which is haddock. Very popular up north. Loved the simple atmosphere, just like many corner bars/restaurants up north. We will be back! Did I mention they are Buffalo Bills backers!

Nice spot to get something quick. There is a bar just next door that has darts but this side has a nicer selection of liquor and some respectable mixed drink specials. A bit small but inviting. The first time I came here I had the Philly Cheese Steak. Excellent! Still on repeat and have tried nothing else but Wings which are on the same level and do not disappoint. Maybe next time. Cheers!

Awesome meal and service!!! There were 4 of us - 2 fish & chips, 1 French dip, 1 shrimp po boy - everyone said how delicious their meal was. Very generous portions too. And our server was attentive and very nice. It’s been a long time since we were happy all around with our meal. Thank you!!! My only problem - my meal was so good, do I really want to try something different next time we go? 😄

French Dip
Came in on Valentines Night, I assumed that it was going to be busy due to the holiday. But they were not, we entered the restaurant no greeting at all, until a gentleman approached us and asked if we were taking out. We said no, then he mentioned sit where ever you can fit. We found a table, and sat there for about 3-5 minutes (which felt longer) before anyone greeted us. The gentleman who spoke to us first kept walking by and a young lady with an Afro did the same. Then I asked the gentleman as he was cleaning a table to the right of us, if he was taking care of us or the young lady. He said the young lady is, for he is done for the night. To sum it all up, the young lady only had 2-3 tables once we sat down. The service was slow, she was not attentive, I had to asked for silverware for a salad, she never causally checked on us until she saw me put on my jacket. Received the ticket, other items were that was not ours, she fixed it. Food was great! Service was not. Loved the atmosphere!

We were excited to try this new restaurant as we have been going to "Thirsty Palate" bar.
The place not too busy for Saturday night as we got seated immediately. One thing that caught me off guard were the drink proportions. Every cocktail came in a highball glass filled to the brim with ice and only a couple sips of drink were there. Ordered the shrimp app and the buffalo flatbread pizza. The shrimp were nothing more than breading and probably the smallest shrimp I've ever eaten ( other than the ones you see at a salad bar). The flatbread would have been better if it wasn't burnt. The main course our party ordered came out all at different times leaving me without food. The burgers were just ok but the Philly cheese steak was great! Mac and cheese, fries, and tots were all good also. After everyone was done eating, i asked if they still had my burger, which was brought out shortly after asking ( I think it was forgotten about ) and was comped by the manager who was very nice and apologetic. They are brand new and learning so some hiccups are expected!
