Nice restaurant with a great location. Food was a alright, but not much more than that. Services was fine and the waiter kept an eye on us the whole time. The meat on the club sandwich was dry and could have done with more taste. The Thai Nudles were good and the chicken pasta was also. The chocolate fountain was great but the cheese cake was disappointing, lacked taste and the crispy foundation was wet and saggy. Loved to see the chefs kids running around and engaging with their mom. Just a little more and my next review is four stars or more. My final comment, please fix the menu, they look out of shape. I went to this place around a month ago while on vacation. Me and a friend of mine wanted to experience some good fish but many restaurants in the region either were closed, way to expensive or just had not the right things. Luckily we found Hos Naboen. The very friendly waiter greeted us and from the second he noticed, we are not Norwegian, spoke English with us (which although normal, is very polite) and brought the English menu, which I personally have not expected. We ordered the Fish and Chips and a grilled Salmon. We asked the waiter, which kinds of vegetables are served with the Salmon, as it unfortunately is not mentioned in the menu, at least in the English version. He quickly explained and asked it sounded delicious. We just waited a few minutes for the drinks, a Diet Pepsi and regular coke, which were quite expensive for my taste (59 Kr) but I guess it is completely normal in Norway so no complaints here. Only 10 minutes later, the food has been served, this time from a different waiter, who also could have been the chef, I don’t know. It looked absolutely delicious and tasted the same. The fish and chips were the best I have ever had and I already went to the UK, so I know how they are supposed to taste. The fries and the tartar sauce seemed to be home made, as well as the mushed pees and of course the Fish. Very crispy but still not dry at all. Just how it should be. The salmon also was quite good, the vegetables seemed to be fresh and the sauce also was very good. All in all we can recommend this place without a doubt. If it wouldn’t be for the distance (I live in Berlin, Germany) I would be there often for sure. Tusen Takk dear Hos Naboen Team.☺️ Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person kr 200–300 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

OCT1: If you only must chose 1 place in KRS, make it that one. A Norwegian take on US diner concept? Great atmosphere. Very good/decent food menu whether for brunch, something sweet or for a drink. And a service/care that is rare in Norway Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Enjoyed the soup of the day - so creamy. And the ytrefilet was delicious, as were the accompanying vegetables. On another visit, a deliciously moist flaky halibut. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I sadly do not remember the name of the waiter that helped us, but he was reeeally nice! He was a young guy in his 20s i think, with brown hair. I want to say to him THANK YOU! for making the experience so nice. We will come back! The attention was lovely, the food was also really nice and everything was super clean! I totally recommend it. The food was very good. I think they were understaffed so the service was not as good. Definitely recommend this place. It is worth the long wait. We will return! Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

What you serve is not Gulash . It's something both vegetarian and fat... unfortunately no meat inside Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person kr 300–400 Recommended dishes Fish Soup
Decent place but nothing special. I got a little pub-feeling by the food. It’s simple and filling, but either super tasty or well prepared. My pasta was a little over cooked and the other dishes quite boring. Do think that the prices might be a tad expensive for what you get. However, overall it’s an okei place that serve easy food for a pub-style dinner with friends and family. Expect simple burgers, pre-made veggie burgers and very saucy pasta.
Great service and great food for reasonable prices. Ends up being expensive just because you don't want to leave.
