Amazing experience!! We arrived at 1am. I much appreciated the late closing hour. Wonderful hosts. Very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was great. So great that it was mostly gone before I even thought to take pictures. The chef came out to inquire as to how we liked the meal at the end of our dining experience. Everything was very tasty. The okonomyaki was a table favorite. We also got various skewers and appetizers. If I am ever in the area again, I will absolutely make it a point to come back.

What a fantastic introduction to Vegas. We came here because I had pinned it on my list of places to eat in the area during my travels. Turned out to be less than a mile from my hotel (Orleans).
The atmosphere is immaculate. I love the cherry blossom trees in the center of the restaurant and it feels like you’re in a real Izakaya.
We ordered veg tempura for an appetizer and it arrived on an adorable robot. It was fresh and delicious. We also had the miso soup and it was gone in about ten seconds, haha.
I ordered the Japanese lasagna for my entree, a baked sushi roll. It had such a unique and delicious flavor, like no sushi roll I’ve tried before.
During our meal, the owner came up to do a quality check. I knew immediately that he was a kindred soul - he had a huge smile and such warm energy. We started talking about travel and our love for driving across country. We probably chatted for 20+ minutes and it made the experience so memorable and enjoyable that I doubt l’ll ever forget it.
Alex is truly awesome - so hospitable and kindness. I plan to stop in again before we leave Vegas to buy another delicious milk tea and bid Alex a “see you later.”
Stop in here - food is delicious and they are such good people. Our waiter was excellent and attentive as well. They even brought the robot over to sing happy birthday to us just for fun :)
Thank you, Hon Izakaya Lounge!

newly opened Hon Izakaya🏮
It consists of basic Japanese tapas menus,
There are a variety of sashimi, sushi, rolls, yakitori, and appetizers.
The atmosphere feels like you‘re in Japan, and there’s a 24-hour video poker next door.
We Enjoyed Japanese Food and Sake 😊

A very mixed bag.
Good: the sushi is extremely fresh and tasty, they have video poker at the bar, it is pretty inside
Not good: the staff seems to all be new, our order was mixed up, no one could give a clear answer to questions, we weren't given our card back. The chicken karage was more like chicken nuggets. Still not clear on their comp drinks for video poker policy.

New ownership, new menu.
& My 4 year old son approves of this place. :) I did not get our servers name but she was really friendly. Let us know that it’s their soft opening and that they are doing buy one sake or beer and get the other one free. If you go make sure you go with an adult friend to enjoy the deal, lol.
Today marked a special day in the local culinary scene as the Hon Izakaya Lounge reopened its doors under new ownership. The intriguing evening-to-wee hours operating schedule makes it a perfect place for dinner, late-night conversations, or post-midnight sushi cravings.
Stepping into the restaurant, I immediately noticed an air of elegance and attention to detail that set the stage for an exceptional dining experience. However, the proof of a great restaurant lies in the food itself, and Hon Izakaya Lounge didn't disappoint.
The sashimi combo, priced at a reasonable $35, presented a generous portion, a delight to the eye and the palate. Each piece was thick, fresh, and beautifully cut, exuding a high-quality taste that speaks volumes about the chef's dedication to their craft. The fish variety was impressive, allowing for a vibrant spectrum of flavor with each bite. I found the freshness to be impeccable, emphasizing the authentic Japanese culinary art that Hon Izakaya Lounge aims to bring forth.
A standout element of the meal was the fresh wasabi. This was a wonderful touch that further enhanced the quality of the sashimi, providing a punch of flavor that was both strong and balanced. This detail demonstrated Hon Izakaya Lounge's commitment to providing a complete, authentic experience for their customers.
Moving on to the sushi, these were bigger than your average sushi pieces. Again, the quality of the fish was evident, and the size made each piece feel like a substantial, fulfilling bite. Each sushi roll was expertly crafted, with perfect balance between the rice, fish, and other ingredients.
In conclusion, the renewed Hon Izakaya Lounge has made an impressive entrance into the local dining scene. Their evening-to-late-night operating hours add a unique, refreshing twist to the restaurant landscape, catering to the discerning food lovers who value quality and authenticity. If today's experience is any indication, the future looks bright and tasty for this spot. I look forward to returning and tasting more of their exquisite offerings.

I’m glad we found this spot. The sushi and skewers were terrific. My favorite was truffle salmon which was great—good atmosphere and vibes. It wasn't crowded on a Monday night. Our waitresses, Reizel and Erika, were fantastic throughout our stay. Recommend this place.

Came here tonight with my best friend and our 4 kids. My son found this place on tiktok and it did NOT disappoint. Everything was fantastic right down to the miso soup. Best I ever had. Everything tasted like it was made with care. Fried rice fantastic! Sushi so good.
Cocktails on point.
The staff was very sweet and attentive. They have the robot helping serve the food, that our kids loved. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated.
A great hidden gem.

Such a lovely place for a delicious dinner, we tried so many things from sushi to their various meat skewers and curry. The atmosphere and service were top notch! Our server Joe was on top of things and really funny. His customer service was some of the best in town! Alex came from the kitchen to check on how we liked everything and was amazing. Please give this place a try next time you need a fun and delicious place for dinner!
