Our team Serotonin hosted our first Platform Members dinner here and booked half the restaurant for about 35 people. Everyone that attended loved the food from start to finish, it was definitely Michelin level. Staff and service was top notch. & surprise caviar bump to end dinner was a nice touch.

Third time coming here the staff is amazing and the food is always impeccable. Started with some hand rolls, had to get the shaken chefs rice as usual, the potato pave was a delight but the real star of the show was the space wine with lime. Definitely coming back soon!

Heard about it from a good friend and came in for a special occasion. This spot is phenomenal!!! It felt very thought out from the main entrance to the second you enter the restaurant. Beautiful interior with an open kitchen. Lighting and music was on point. Service was impressive, our server was Megan. Several people helped with service throughout the night, all great. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was fun and jammed packed with all kinds of great flavors and textures. Also all the drinks were delicious.

when visiting a new city, I usually plan a lovely dinner date or activity for myself—because well, why not? I deserve it ☺️ this solo dinner date in Denver led me to the Michelin Guide to try and find a memorable culinary experience. I landed on this place because they seemed to have the laid back/ecclectic vibe I was in the mood for, and I didn’t have to wait weeks to get a reservation. The food was absolutely delicious. They understand flavor profiles, and how to properly handle delicate ingredients. The service was also exceptional, and the vibe was everything I was looking for. Definitely a 12/10👌🏼
I had:
🥩 wagyu beef galbi / apple pear / scallion
🍄grilled mushrooms / bitter melon ponzu

Wagyu Beef Galbi
This place does not disappoint, live up the name for Michelin guide restaurant. A contemporary Korean modern twist tailor to American taste. The dishes are mostly bite size tapas. So you get to order different things to share.
The wagyu beef galbi is devine, very tender and well marinated. The chicken liver mousse served on a toasted toast that’s already cut to four pieces, easy to just pull apart to eat. Shaken rice served in a traditional Korean tin lunch box container and shaken in front of you when serving, it taste a bit like kimchi fried rice.
Service is great, we sat on the bar and the bar tender is so attentive and they are amazing making drinks tailor to your taste.

We went here for our anniversary dinner and weren't let down. Megan was our server and she was fantastic. We had the chicken liver mousse, K-Town fried chicken with sauces, duck breast with egg yolk, Chinese broccoli, potato pave', and the shaken chef rice (that was my favorite). Everything was awesome, and the atmosphere was so energetic. Not too loud, but more energy than a boring, quiet meal. And call or try to walk in if online shows they are full. They also have a spacious bar, which we will definitely check out. There was also some back room bar that was booked when we were there, but we WILL be back to check that out too. I highly recommend.
NEXT VISIT:
Dinner review. Another great experience, this time sitting at the bar. Taylor was great in communicating with us our wait time while we were en route. Benjamin and Josiah were our bartenders, and they were highly skilled, very efficient, and fun. They had an IPA for me that was the combo of two breweries. Wife also ordered one they made it up on the fly. We had the carpaccio (mind-blowing), tuna crudo (amazing), Dan Dan noodles (awesome). All fantastic. The music was energetic in both music selection and volume. This is a date night place, so nothing is cheap, but your experience WILL be worth it. And Tennyson is a fun street for before or after Hey Kiddo. Definitely recommend and see you there.

Hey kiddo is my favorite restaurant on the Tennyson strip and tonight reminded me why. I sat at the bar tonight and was taken care of by Hanna and John - totally. The food here is just phenomenal. Chef Jonas and the GM Brian really have a great thing going here. Their baked oysters are HIGHLY recommended when they have them. Perfectly cooked every time and a extremely sublime dish. Wow. Best fried chicken in town and their caviar service is outstanding. The whole staff is super friendly and I had the best time tonight. Enjoy yourself there with my compliments.

Very underwhelmed. Went for a birthday, noted it on the reservation (question on the reservation, never mentioned during our visit), and noted we needed gluten free dishes (again, question on reservation that our server didn’t know, never mentioned it during our visit). It was a bright dining room, sterile decor, and we were rushed with asking us every minute and a half if we were ready to order. Food runner was two steps walking away while telling us what the dish was,… Nothing elegant or special at all about this place. The food was good, but I know several other places with good food where I’ll go instead.

Went there for our anniversary dinner and really enjoyed it! The crispy duck was fantastic. We really enjoyed the cold sesame noodles, their mushrooms were soaked in vinegar - great touch!

This is an adventure. A saga of flavor. A rip roaring thrill ride of a review that will hopefully leave your mouth watering and your thumbs making reservations.
My wife and I have three kiddos. We love our kiddos, but we also realized we desperately needed a break from our kiddos so we could have some adulto timeo. Craving a flavorful meal that would tickle our tastebuds with tantalizing tastes never before tasted we decided Hey Kiddo was the ideal spot for our night out without our kiddos.
Let’s breakdown the kiddo-less, Hey Kiddo, experience.
The Arrival
Hey Kiddo is located on the third floor of a somewhat unassuming building right on the bustling Tennyson street. Parking can be scarce and hard to find so we left our boxes on the hillside suburb a bit early to ensure we were relaxed, not rushed when arriving to the restaurant. Fortunately it was a Sunday night and we found parking easily. Walking hand in hand we arrived at the Asher building and took the elevator up to floor three, where a timeless yet trendy outfitted hostess greeted us with a smile and a warm welcome. We officially arrived.
The Atmosphere
The inside (when is the sun is out) is cozy and crammed yet open and airy the walls are covered in light wood and the ceilings feature some odd angles that make you feel like you’re in an Asian inspired Swedish mountain home. While the interior is certainly a unique blend of aesthetic elements you can quickly tell the focus of the diners should be on the extensive bar and the open kitchen. Modern music subtlety sounds from
the speakers giving a more approachable feeling to the whole experience.
The Service
An entire team will take care of you while you’re seated at your slightly cramped table. Everyone brings forward a great sense of passion, enthusiasm and knowledge of the menu.
The Drinks
The cocktail program starts the evening off right with an interactive menu of unique drinks offered in fun and engaging glassware. If you’re not feeling any of the listed cocktails they will also gladly make you a sip that suits your mood.
The Food
This is probably why you’re reading this review so if you’ve made it this far you’re in for a treat. We decided to have a three chapter eating adventure so join me for each.
Chapter 1: The beginning
Wanting to warm up our pallets and try some new tastes we ordered up four things.
1. A little amusebouche featuring a touch of caviar on a little oyster. We actually didn’t order this, it was brought to us and was the star of the first chapter, salty, sea-y and refreshing this felt like I had an intimate French Kiss with the ocean.
2. Milk Bread. Whitaker is grandmaster of grain so if you go to any of Kelly’s restaurants bread is a must. These were soft and light yet dense and fluffy. It felt like a Hawaiian roll had a baby with a hearty rustic roll. Would recommend.
3. Popcorn chicken. The sauces were the highlight of this dish otherwise the chicken felt s bit dense and heavy and the utilization of dark meat was a bit of a surprise.
4. Panzanella salad. This was a nice medley of palisade peaches, milk roll croutons, tomatoes and more. While tasty and refreshing it was a bit too oily.
Chapter 1 was fun but apart from the oyster was not OMG amazing. But then we got to chapter 2.
Chapter 2: The main event.
These dishes are why you come to hey kiddo.
1. Kurobuta pork ribs: presented like a mini Jenga tower of flavor packed protein these melt-in-your-mouth meat treats were bursting with flavor featuring a slight spice from gochujang and a subtle sweetness from palisade peaches. Each toothy tear of meat made my eyes roll in the back of head with flavor euphoria.
2. Shaken Rice: the story and theater behind this dish is worth the order. I won’t spoil the surprise but be prepared for some vigorous table side shaking that would put shakira to shame. The most fun part of this dish was every forkful was flavored differently.
3. Kimchi pickles. This was great as a palate cleanser between bites or rice and rips of the ribs.
I am out of characters.
