Cherry t was my cashier and she was amazing, made me feel very welcomed and she was extremely nice. We also got a membership before we shopped and saved over $25. Id recommend this place anytime
As a Harris teeter and I know this from former personal job experience they pride themselves supposedly in maintaining High customer service as well as quality of presentation. I went in the other night to purchase a salad, a nice salad HOWEVER when I arrived there which was around five something in the evening dinner time you would have thought that they would have had the bins loaded up. But as you can see from the lettuce bins they were practically empty and mostly wilted what was left!! Such a disappointment! The only thing really that was full was the opposite side of of the salad bar; which consisted of fruit and other pasta salads of which I was not interested in. Needless to say I did not want a salad from here. I also noticed that instead of $5.99 per pound the price had gone up $2 per pound. I know that all the food has gone up but just for salad bar products it took me back by surprise.
I have seen a lot of people complain about high prices here and I just don’t see it. Maybe it’s my meat and potatoes diet or the fact that I shop sales but i feel like Harris Teeter has great prices on good quality meat. I have yet to find a better source of steaks that consistently has great quality in this area.
Extremely overpriced for food that they are going to have to throw away because it’s wilting. Maybe if you were not charging $8 for a package of lettuce you wouldn’t have to throw so much away. Good luck explaining your greed to God.
Clean and convenient. Staff is fantastic. A little pricey but if you watch for weekly sales they can be very lucrative!

Produce is nice and the selection is the same as the other one in Norfolk. The meat department is smaller here seafood the same. Only time I bought seafood the guy was super nice and accommodating when they ran out of something. The walk in beer cooler is nice, prices are normal. The store does need to fix it's vent system because it always smells like old fryalator always. The single cashier (most times they want you to do their job) is very nice always. It's our local store. There is an ABC next door with some drama in the parking lot at times.

Just like the previous Farm Fresh, this space is too small to house a major grocery store. It's frustrating finding certain items because there are too many SKUs crammed on every aisle. Popular items sell out quickly because it's impossible to go deep on anything. I find myself leaving this store every time with second and third options. Where's the backstock on my favorite wine? Where's the frozen corn on the cob? With all the seafood they sell, where's all the Old Bay and Zatarains products?! Thank goodness this location kept the seafood counter. And we love the deli/sushi bar although there is a limited offering due to space limitations [and demographics, I dare say]. Starbucks is inside though.

Although this location is smaller than the typical Harris Teeter, they still deliver quality items and great service. It really gives you a neighborhood market feeling. By the way, the fried chicken is superb.
There is nothing wrong with the actual harris teeter store in Ocean View. It's clean and their products are fresh. Sometimes you can get good sale prices too. The problem is the location. The Ocean view shopping center is overrun with people milling around either looking for trouble or money. I've actually decided not to shop here anymore because it's impossible to make it from my car to the store without being stopped by at least three people looking for money. And they are aggressive! They will tell me to go pull money from the ATM for them and warn me they will be waiting for me when I come out. I've had to have store employees walk me out in the past because of it. Until they get the area cleaned up, I reccomend going to a different location.
While this grocery store is clean and organized, I always feel like I have wasted way too much time waiting in line to check out. There always seems to be more than enough employees working but there aren't enough check out lanes open. The lines to check out actually flood into the grocery aisles. The bright and shining star of this store is the pizza making department. They make the most amazing pizza and are always pleasant and friendly.
