Poor planning. I called on Tuesday to have a cake ready for Thursday at 11am. We're having a going away party for a co-worker, and the cake that I ordered is their favorite. Not only did they tell me the cake was delayed by "about 30 minutes," but they didn't even have any pre-baked. What's the point in calling to place an order if it's not going to be honored?

Update 5/10/23: After finally getting in touch with the right person, she went out of her way to take care of making this right (I believe her name was Michelle). I received a prompt response from her and she was quick to apologize, provide some explanation, and a solution. This is the customer service I am used to seeing at HEB. I updated my because her efforts were commendable. 3/16/2023: Ordered a wedding cake over a month ago. I called and spoke with someone to arrange a cake testing and confirmed my pickup time, and they had it wrong. I scheduled my cake testing, and thankfully, I asked about the date because they still had it wrong!!! I called on Tuesday the week I was to pick up my cake and confirmed for 3:30. I show up right at 3:30 and they have not finished my cake. I expressed my frustration and was told it would be another 15 minutes. They didn't even seem to care when I expressed my frustration. I got a manager involved eventually, and they were back there laughing after I spoke to him. The "15 minutes" turned into 35. I was on a tight schedule with my setup time at the venue from 4:00-7:00, I ended up losing one hour of setup time because of them. Update: I submitted my review as soon as they gave me my cake. I literally typed this while I was standing there. By the time I drove the venue and unloaded my car, it was 5:00. Not only did I lose an hour of setup time, but this delay also impacted me from getting ready for my own wedding rehearsal. The gift card I was given was a joke. Setup time was part of the cost of my venue, and losing an hour of setup time not only cost me money but also caused a lot of stress. Not to mention, we had things that $ was spent on that we did not get to use to decorate with due to the loss of time. The lack of urgency, care, customer service, and most importantly, the attitude by the cake decorator was absolutely unacceptable.

Ordered 1/2 sheet cake ($60) for a party of 45 today. My husband just brought it home and it will feed about 15 people. It’s the size of a 1/4 sheet cake. I am livid.
Ordered my daughter birthday cake from there it was nice but I feel like they should have paid a little more attention to the details ...cake tasted amazing though
