We enjoyed revisiting this restaurant from our high school days in Durango. The restaurant is very clean. Staff is friendly. Service is quick. The prices are great! We split the Pancho Plate and ordered a taco a la carte. Plus a soda, chips, and salsa. Our bill came in right under $20 plus tip. This a cash only establishment, but there is an ATM if you forget your cash. They charge for chips and salsa. The tacos are served soft, nicely flavored ground beef, with the corn tortilla lightly cooked. The tamale was dry so we added salsa and mixed it with the pinto beans. The burrito with green chili sauce was good, flour tortilla was fresh. The green chili sauce was just right with heat and not too acidic. The pinto beans were cooked perfectly… we wished we would have ordered rice to go with our plate. The salsa is homemade, packs a little heat, and is a little acidic but tastes good on everything. We saw locals which is a great sign that you are eating at a favorite restaurant. Definitely recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–10

I don't carry alot of cash with me on a daily basis. Most people don't in this day and age. I really do like the food but I don't like it that I have to pay $3.00 for an ATM fee in their restaurant to get cash THEN just turn around and pay them them this same money for their food that has gone up tremendously in price. Its like they are robbing Peter and Paul at the same time, but I'm both Peter and Paul. Unfortunately they have lost $100's of dollars of my business just because they won't accept a debit card. I don't why they think they are saving money by only accepting cash and check. Dude its 2023 get the net

No cheese green chile beef burrito for me and my mother had the smothered burrito no chile...both dishes very delicious and just right portions. Service was quick and very clean tables and attentive staff. Loved it. Will go back again. 😘💕👍👌

Griegos on main Street in Durango, Colorado is trash. To start with if you are not a local your Debit / credit car or personal check are not accepted. They seem to be running some kind of shady tax evasion scheme saying cash only. We had to use the expense atm in the corner to get cash. Second the uppity waitress Tiffany with the less than pleasant demeanor gives you little to no time to look at the menu or place your order. She brought burnt chicken nuggets hidden under fries to " cool off" for boogie. Josh's food was in a to go container. My Carne asada plate was supposed to be the carnitas plate. The first bite I went to give boogie of my food we got a long straight hair that was under the food all the way across the whole plate and over the edge. We were not able to eat any of it. The i don't care look on her face when we asked for the check as soon as the food arrived told is it was not worth complaining about it. We paid the bill and left their disgusting food there. Yummy this has always been a family favorite place to go and get a excellent mean, for a very inexpensive price. Being a family owned and operated business makes you appreciate the food even more, and you have to end your mean with some sopapillias delicious! The food wasn't tasty and even to say not good. This is now the worst mexican restaurant i ever eat at. I ordered beef tacos but received veggie tacos. Our drinks was received when we finished eating. Salsa is chunky tomatoes and onions. You have to pay for your chip and salsa. Not worth the experience of it, just go to an actual Mexican restaurant in Durango and you will be happy. The place is not what we expected.
