My wife and I decided to eat dinner here before catching a movie at the nearby theater. I had the Rodeo Burger with onion rings. Burger was a 1/3 pound seasoned patty with BBQ sauce, cheddar cheese, onion ring, lettuce and tomato. I decided to add bacon for $2. The onion rings were the battered kind and came out nice and hot and fried to perfection.
My wife ordered the chicken strips with tater tots. It came with 3 huge chicken strips and a good amount of tots. Everything was piping hot, so it was obvious the server was on her toes and did not let it sit in the window.
Speaking of the server, she was attentive and routinely checked on us and kept are drinks filled.
The atmosphere is how I would picture an old saloon. Long bar with various liquors showcased behind. The dining room features floor seating as well as a balcony above.

Earlier this month, we had our baby shower here and it was a wonderful experience. I absolutely recommend this spot for events, brunch, dinner, or just to grab a drink!
First, the owners were very easy to work with to reserve the space. They let us use the entire loft space from 11 am to 3 pm. We got there early to set up and could decorate as needed. Once our guests arrived (we had around 30 people join), we provided brunch to our guests with a no host bar. The brunch was delicious! We had a variety of diets in our group (vegan, gluten free, vegetarian) and everyone found something they enjoyed. Our waitress was attentive, kind, and got us everything we needed.
As a very pregnant, expecting mama, it was so nice to have everything go so smoothly for me, our friends who planned and hosted the shower, and our guests. Plus, the owners and staff seem to truly care about the people they are serving. Go support this local business! We certainly will be.

Our first, and only, time here. We researched new places to eat for a fun date night. Drove over from a neighboring town. Ordered a hamburger, specifically told our waitress that we wanted the meat to not be pink, to cook it all the way through. She responded that they only cook the meat to one temperature - we told her that was fine as long as the meat was done and not pink. She told us it would be done. We received our meal, bit into the hamburger and it was very pink in the middle. We couldn’t get the attention of the waitress, and she never came back to check on our meal. My husband was so hungry that he ate his, but I couldn’t eat mine, I simply can’t eat uncooked meat. The tater tots were good, lightly crunchy and tossed with a seasoning. We liked the wood paneling behind the bar and seeing the brickwork behind the paneling. If you like your hamburgers cooked half pink, then you will probably like this place, but don’t expect them to fully cook your burger even when specifically asked to do so.

My wife and I had turf and surf, The steak was cooked to perfection the prawns were to die for, the vegetables were great as were the mashed potatoes. The down side was the waitress. Taking our order she was looking at her watch, then, once she brought our order she did not return to check on us until we were nearly finished, probably 20 minutes later. Then once finished she came over and asked if I wanted another drink or our check. Didn't ask if we wanted dessert, or just a drink, but a choice of a drink or leaving. Incredibly rude.
Now if it had been really busy I'd understand, but instead she was visiting with the other staff or looking at her phone behind the bar. Now, if I'd been out for a $40 dinner I might be ok with that, but this was a date night with drinks that could have been a second round of drinks, 2 desserts, and a much better tip. I still tipped around 18%,much lower than my usual 25, which would have been pretty nice if we had spent another $35 or so.... Just saying. Top notch food, our server, not so much.

Waite staff very inexperienced…one person asked if I wanted a napkin and silverware! Long wait for service. Food looked uninspiring…however the burger tasted excellent. Buns were cold. Mac & cheese side not very good. I will try again to see if it is just from not being open too long.

One of the best bacon blue cheese burgers I've ever had. The atmosphere was friendly and fun, as we visited on karaoke night. The karaoke DJ for Raising Kain was very friendly and coaxed many guests to try their hand at rock and country favorites.
A nice addition to our town!

Pros: Ordered the mushroom swiss burger with mac and cheese side.
The side of mac and cheese with jalapenos and bacon($2 extra) was just gigantic. Seemed like it might have been boxed mac and cheese, but they did something extra to the cheese sauce, as it was super creamy, and the bacon and jalapenos took it over the top. The side of mac and cheese could have easily been a meal in itself, as it was HUGE.
We also ordered the perogies as an appetizer. While they weren't terribly authentic, they were stuffed with sour cream, with cheese and bacon over the top, and were very good.
The cons:
The burger. The patty was horribly overcooked and very dry. While there was swiss cheese and mushrooms on it, the mushrooms were obviously of the canned variety. I would have liked to have seen fresh sauteed criminis or button mushrooms, but that was not the case. And the horseradish aoli was so incredibly light. Could have used 2-3x the horseradish aoli.
The bun was very good, but overall, the burger was not very good.
I would definitely pass on the burger.
Would like to try some of their dinners, as they have good prices on the prime rib and surf and turf. But after experiencing their burger, am not real confident in how good the prime rib might be.
This place has such huge potential, but some of the cooking really lacks.
I want to try it again....maybe a different burger or a wrap....but I don't have huge expectations.

My family and I have eaten here several times for lunch and dinner. We have been impressed with the quality of the food and service. So much in fact, that we invited a group of our friends to join us this weekend. What an embarrassing mistake. Our food was so bad that most of it was left on the plates. Knives brought to us had to be returned because they were dirty. We saw our server massage her bare foot, put her shoe back on and begin serving without washing her hands. When food issues were pointed out, they dropped a whopping two dollars from the bill. I would love to return to the Golden Hop we loved, if only the mgmt and chef would return.
