Came back a year later and had an amazing experience. It was super slow, and we were the only ones there, but everything was fantastic. Perla was a great server and took good care of us. Great place to get relatively cheap, good Mexican food and fantastic margaritas. Their tequila selection is massive and their food portions are huge, so definitely worth stopping by if you come to Durango and want Mexican food. The staff was very friendly and food was good. The issues is we didn't get much attention from our waitress which was ok other than we was ready with our bill and had to go get it... the beans are delicious and the rice is good ... I had a burrito and enjoyed all of it.. try the quac cause it is delicious.. my hub had the nachos and they looked so tasty so next time I will be trying those.. While we were in Durango on an anniversary day trip the parking lot was why we chose to try this place. [Finding parking for a large truck in Durango is not easy.] But we were absolutely taken away with how good the food was, how festive the interior of the restaurant was; and the family-owned local focused service we got will dining. Their chips and salsa is fantastic! The chips are on the thicker side, which is a huge plus. The salsa has a great cilantro base and a good deal of heat. This was my first time trying the pollo borracho. I think I have a new favorite! We always stop in here at least once when we visit Durango. Sometimes the food and service are fine and sometimes they're outstanding, but we know we'll never leave hungry. The prices are fair and the atmosphere is generally warm and welcoming. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I used to love coming here when the Rangel family owned the restaurant. They worked hard and were respected by many. Now when I try to show a family member fried ice cream for the first time they come out with a cold scoop of vanilla, Frosted Flakes on it, not fried. Family member had never had real fried ice cream, I can say they STILL have not thanks to the folks there. Sad. Maybe you’ll get what you order, maybe you won’t. Food: 1
I came here during lunch time and had the enchiladas suiza lunch special that came with rice and beans. Enchiladas were just a tad bit dry. They could have used a bit more sauce but they were still good. The rice was fresh and had a good flavor. The beans...I loved the beans! They had the authentic Mexican bean flavor. There is nothing like eating authentic refried beans that brings that nostalgic memory with them. Service was great. Was a nice place to have authentic tasting Mexican food. Servers were attentive. I liked the salsa a lot and the margarita was good and strong. Wife and I ate a little too much and had no room dessert, had to walk main street after dinner. Good times! Great place to eat. The staff was amazing and they kept checking up on us frequently. The food was great and big portions. I do recommend this place to anyone who craves Mexican food. I had the Molcajete for two and still had to have a to go box. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
