If you’re into coffee, books, and brews or wine, Elements might be your type of place. This is hands down my favorite coffee shop in all of Southern Maine. I don’t even reside in Biddeford and will go out of my way to spend some time at Elements — that’s how special it is. I remember the first time I visited Elements last summer. As soon as I walked in, I was taken aback by the incredible atmosphere, extensive coffee menu, and wine + beer options. Seriously, we need more coffee shops offering adult beverages, too. The coffee selection is impressive and — the best part — with some of the best prices in Southern Maine. For instance, you can get a pour-over for $3, and you get to pick your preferred coffee beans. I haven’t seen many other places doing that. The coffee is served in beautiful mugs (if you’re drinking in) that make you feel like you’re at a posh coffee shop. Outside of coffee, you can also choose local beer or a glass of wine, both at excellent prices, too. And that’s exactly what I love about Elements — with what they offer, they could’ve quickly decided to be an overpriced and pretentious coffee shop. We’ve all seen those. But instead, they’re a down-to-earth and welcoming space for everyone. Lastly, the books! They have punch cards where you get one free book after a few purchases, and most of the books are all under the cover price, even though they are brand new.
