Hadn't been back here in a while and nothing has changed. I prefer a more sophisticated approach to decor in a Mexican restaurant. This place hasn't spent a dime to refresh the ambiance and the murals are tired and dated. The food was good, portion sizes were plentiful and our server was attentive, even spotted him running from time to time. Not sure why they sat us upstairs when there were open tables below. Usually good food and nice place to sit down for some more traditional mexican. Usually fresh ingredients and good service, but something was off tonight because it looks like someone pooped on my Nachos instead of adding guacamoli. This place was great. The order was almost perfect but they put a few onions in my rice and I told him I was allergic. I didn't notice them until the middle of my meal. Also, not sure what was on the fries but it looks like it was cooked in old grease. The steak was cooked just right and the burger was kid-approved. Please take a chance and eat here. I hope you enjoy it like me.

Very good Mexican food for a reasonable price, during these inflationary times & considering that most Mexican restaurants I've eaten at are much higher in menu prices, in the Triad area. The atmosphere & staff are very friendly and attentive in serving their customers. Food was really good as was the service. I had two enchiladas, rice and beans. Cheese dip didn't disappoint. Atmosphere was nothing fancy if you're looking for that sort of thing. While traveling we stopped here for an early dinner. The problems started when we couldn't get seated even though there was a receptionist (who was on the phone--not a business call). When we were seated we asked for a margarita frozen with salt and eventually got one--not frozen. Eventually fixed. We then ordered. Burrito special and shrimp fajitas salad. The Burrito was excellent, the salad not so much. Lots of shrimp all swimming in liquid. Our unresponsive waiter was eventually replaced by the manager on duty so we could pay a d leave. Epic Finds (EF_Toybox)

Have been eating here for 20 years or better. I typically get the Speedy Gonzales for lunch, #1 dinner combo, ACP or California Burrito. They have the best red sauce for their enchiladas IMHO.
