The food was good, and the portions were very plentiful. Cheese dip was a little thin and not much flavor, I enjoyed the fresh crunchy chips. Nice, quiet dinner. 4.5/5 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
My husband, 2 kids and I really love Carmen’s and drive 30 minutes per way to eat there! They have really wonderful food, we often get the fajitas. The environment doesn’t scream Mexico, like some restaurants but is always clean and fast paced. Service is good, although we have to ask for things (napkins, to go boxes, check) more often than most. The food was phenomenal 😋 The service was great! My husband got the enchiladas verde and I got the chicken Pina fajitas. The chips were hit and fresh!! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Looking for a tasty spot in Lees Summit for Mexican cuisine?? Carmen’s Cantina & Mexican Grill will have you leaving happily stuffed. The pineapple fajita mix was stacked as high as possible with meat and topped with slices of fresh pineapple. The margaritas are worth every penny! We sat the bar but there is plenty of seating for families and couples. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30

I did carry out and dine in. My carry out order was ready in five minutes. I left and came back to dine in for my daughter's birthday. Our server was Non attentive. She tried to take our orders with no menu's. We had no silverware for our food, after waiting 45 mins. We had to ask for more chips and salsa. And get up to get our own togo boxes. I will never go back, because after talking to management about our service, I was offered free cheese dip on my next visit. We spent $100 all together and this is how we were treated. Our server was really nice and talkative to the other guest that weren't African American. My daughter had a whole Tiara on that said happy birthday and she was never Acknowledged or offered ice cream on her birthday thanks Carmen's Cantina! Service Dine in Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3

The food is always amazing. I usually get their chicken plate since it's consistently delicious, but this time I got their enchiladas espinaca and it was also really good. Their chicken is never dry, their cheese sauce/queso is very good, and their chips and salsa are always fresh. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Second time here and enjoyed it once again. They have a wide selection on their menu, something for everyone. The service was good too, not a lot of wait time. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50

First time being here and I'll say it won't be our last! Atmosphere is what you would expect a Mexican type restaurant to be. Service was very good, drinks were never empty and as soon as our chips were almost gone they brought us more. My wife is very picky about white cheese dip. She liked it so much we had to get a large order to take home with us. She had a chicken quesadilla entree and I had the steak jalisco. Both entrees were very hot and fresh and smelled amazing. The Jalisco came out and was still sizzling. The peppers and onions mixed with the ribeye steak and shrimp smelled so good. We were very satisfied with the flavors and how everything was seasoned. We ended up having more than we could eat so we had some to take home to enjoy again. Can't wait to go back and try something else from the menu. Maybe even a couple margaritas. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

I had the steak and shrimp dinner. The wife had the shrimp and crab chimichanga. We both enjoyed the flavor of the meal. There were some things to nitpick on. The crab was the artificial kind and my wife wasn't wild about it in the dish and thought it would have been better if it had not been there. The steak was a thin slice of a ribeye, maybe 6-8oz and the edges had a bit of a chew. Not as tender as I am used to getting. The shrimp had a little extra chew also. Again this is nitpicking. The flavor was excellent my meal was filling with the sides and all the onions, mushrooms and peppers. Overall it was a good meal. I have had the carne asada here before and have found that to be my favorite thing so far. We will keep coming back and trying out other things, but next time it's the carne asada for me.
