We absolutely loved our waitress. This local favorite hangout was not my cup of tea. May have been a bad day, with hard biscuits on the menu. We will definitely be back to try lunch, cafeteria line style food. Hope to change my opinion about this restaurant.

Good...... I waited until I had been here a few times, before doing this review. My first experience made me mad and I went out the door without eating. I met their drill sergeant. Yes they have one. And it was her primary concern to get me in, dish me food and say next... I saw this And saved myself the experience.
However, I have eaten here three or four additional times now. The sergeant is not always in charge of the cafeteria line, I am pleased to report. The food on the buffet line is always good. Is definitely hot and fresh.
The service is always good.
But this restaurant is definitely set up the handle volume. I always feel like I have moved a little farther up north when I eat here. That's not always a bad thing when you wanna get in and out of a restaurant. But this wouldn't be the restaurant that I would want to go to, to have a casual sit down relaxing meal. It is generally busy & hustling. Although at some portions of the day this might be much different. The price is mehhh. Yes, mehhh. Not wonderful. Not unacceptable.
Positives: They have little amenities on the table like BlackBerry jelly and Honey. The waitresses in general seem very personable. They serve breakfast to order, all day. And it is good. I really love a spinach and feta & cheese omelet. And theirs is no exception. The portions are good. I wish they had a 4.3 ... Four seems a little underrated but that's where I rank it. Not a 5. I haven't tried their hamburger yet. Next visit I will report on that.

Ordered take out first time from here. I got pork tenderloin fried, mac and cheese, cabbage corn muffin. Mom got what she thought was country style steak, mac and cheese, and cabbage. It tasted like and looked more like Salisbury steak, mac and cheese tasted like half box half homemade I've had way better! Same with cabbage no flavor or seasoning with food, and corn muffins not good not sure if buttermilk was used. Food needs to really improve and have better seasoning and taste!!! Will not try nothing here again.

Awesome folks here. Seriously I felt like I was at home from the moment I walked in and sat down everyone was so friendly. With most places being short staffed and businesses in general are just missing the mark with customer service. Not Dukes! I should have gotten my servers name but I didn't all I know is that she was quick and super friendly. From the moment I sat down she greeted me and took my drink order. Ticket time was not even 5-8 minutes. Food was really good. My biscuit could have been better but that's not really what I look at. My eggs were cooked to order and my sausage patties crisp and just right.
Loved the whole thing down from the general atmosphere to the Christmas decorations. Genuinely nice people and that's what I love. You can tell that people come here for great food, fast service and long lasting relationships between staff, customers and in between.
Bathrooms were clean, tables clean, kitchen clean. Everything was in order. Nothing but smiles and good food. I'll definitely be coming back to try their lunch which looked good and I've got my eye on some of their vegetable soup. Only time will tell!

This was our first time here and the environment was very welcoming. We were greeted and seated right away. The breakfast food was delicious and seasoned well. The first time I received smoked sausage and didn't have to tell them how to cook it. They fried it perfectly, crunchy and still juicy. We will be back. Also, we did not know that our waitress was the owner's wife. (Mr. Owner you have a jewel of a wife, her customer service was exceptional) We will be back. 10 stars 🌟 from us.

Overall Thoughts: My family loves this place! When you think of local…this is what you think of. They are only open until 2 everyday, so you better get there before then. I believe this is now a 2nd generation owned restaurant, and you can tell that they really care and actually WORK IN THE BUSINESS! Just a great place to grab a bite!
**Note - they serve breakfast the entire time they are open, but they also have a cafeteria style option for lunches as well

Traditional American breakfast with outstanding waitstaff. Duke’s Restaurant has been open a long time. Food has remained consistent. Good breakfast and lunch with daily meat choices and southern style vegetables. The restaurant is clean and well maintained. A perfect neighborhood dining spot for quick causal breakfast or lunch.

Came for lunch today. Order a grilled chicken sandwich. Was not grill it looks like they took it out the tray they had on the buffet and grill it some, Chicken was dry. And cashier always has a bad attitude. We come here all the time for lunch. And last time I hear her telling an elderly person.
