Service at this place is something one can name fine. Based on the reviewers' opinions, prices are reasonable. You will definitely appreciate the cool atmosphere and modern decor. Weee! That was fun. No idea what the second seating is doing, our reservation was at 5:30, didn't get home till after 9. Go early, it's an adventure. Even the bathroom was meditative and romantic. Not sure what else to say about it. It's a great experience. All the dishes were fantastic but for me the vegetables really shined. I know a full 11 course vegetarian menu would never sell but they could pull it off. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It's our first time celebrating the birthday at Demi. So far, most of their foods and desserts are good. Just a few of their dishes are a bit salty. We let them know about my allergy when we made the reservation already. They accidentally service me, but I didn't take a bite yet, we reminded the chef about my allergy while he went over the dish ingredients. He took my plate away and went to check on their sheet. Then they made me an editable dish. It tasted very good. By far, i like it. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I love to cook, and I love dining out. I love to try new foods and foods cooked in different ways. I find the complex mixtures of ingredients to make a totally new dish fun and exciting. If this is you, you will adore Demi. The food is sublime, the ambience serene, and the service is impeccable and joyful. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt welcomed. We started with a warm broth made from roasted beets. Light and warming. The first course was a triple. The sweet potato tart with pickled kombu, nori, black truffle, and miso was absolutely scrumptious. The other two small bites were lovely, but, oh my, that sweet potato tart! These were followed with a lovely fresh scallop crudo, beautifully plated. I adore foie gras, and the Demi version was slices of a terrine served with prune and preserved lemon. The foie gras was smooth; this was really yummy. The fish course was sturgeon, interestingly served with rutabaga puree and little slices of crispy rutabaga. This really worked. The pasta dish was so delicious, and I mean really, really delicious. This is the type of pasta you think about for days. These were chestnut agnolotti, served with celery root, cognac cream, and pomegranate. I could have eaten a huge bowl of these. A triumph in flavor and texture. Mmmmm! The duck and beef courses were also delicious, cooked perfectly, with perfect accomplishments. I had to laugh at the cheese course, as it was actually a cheese tartlet, with endive marmalade and pine nuts. These were perfect. We had a delicious sorbet palate cleanser, and a very interesting sunchoke bavaroise and ice cream dessert. And you leave with a little bix of candies. This is a nice touch. Eating here is an adventure in deliciousness. Every dish is beautifully plated on interesting service ware. Your water glass never goes unfilled. You are served at your own pace. The staff is clearly and justly proud of what they are serving you. I have eaten at some magnificent restaurants in Copenhagen, Barcelona, France, and this absolutely meets the standard of those Michelin starred restaurants - and better than some. It is not cheap. You know what you are getting into when you reserve your table however. However, the food is divine. If you like to know what you are going to eat before you get it, this is not the place for you. If sturgeon with rutabaga puree gives you pause, this is not the place for you. If, however, you are willing to put your meal in some very capable hands, and don't bat an eye at eating smoked white fish, broccolini, and caviar, you will fall in love with Demi. A truly memorable dining experience, definitely lives up to the high praise. We had been waiting for a while to visit Demi, we had seen the stellar reviews for a few years now. The dining experience is very immersive with the open kitchen format. Being able to speak to the chefs as they deliver each course, really helped us understand the creativity and depth of flavors in each dish. As a fan of the Netflix Show “Chef’s Table”, this is first dining experience I’ve had in Minneapolis that felt like a world-class fine dining experience like you would see on Chef’s Table. This is a review for a meal we had in Oct and it was our 3rd time at Demi to celebrate a birthday. Things started off really well and my husband got a cocktail while we waited to be seated. I found about half of the dishes to be outstanding, while the rest were just OK. The blue nose was not pleasant and quite fishy, with not enough flavors to offset. Our transition from that dish to the parsnip agnolotti took no joke 30-40 minutes. Since we did the reserve wine pairing, they had already poured the wine and we had no idea it would take that long. By the time the dish came, our wine temp was off and it was just overall a vibe kill. I noticed people who started their meals after us had been served the agnolotti before us so maybe they just messed up. However, there was zero acknowledgement from any of the staff. Lastly, when the bill came they charged me for an additional cocktail which I did not order so I had to ask them to correct it. While all the reviews for this place seem to be stellar, it *should* be when you spend $500+ for 2 people on a meal. I debated giving this 4 stars but the experience did not justify it. The experience at Demi was nothing short of 5 stars. You are greeted warmly on arrival and made to feel right at home. The entire staff work together in seamless perfection. My wife and I have had tasting menus around the globe, but none have been superior to Demi. The courses and wine pairings flowed perfectly. Flavors and presentation were beautiful. Our thanks to all at Demi for a memorable dining experience. (My only suggestion would be to improve the valet parking. Requiring patrons to walk 1.5 blocks from the valet at Spoon and Stable to the front door at Demi is suboptimal, especially for a restaurant of this caliber and price point.) Came in to celebrate a birthday. Demi was recommended to me by a Chef in Chicago, Devin Denzer. Up arrival, we were greeted and quickly guided to our seats at the U bar. The space is rather intimate and as diners, we have a up close and personal view of the chefs in the kitchen prepping each course. We elected to have the wine pairing which was excellent. There were a number of wines which delighted us and brought about different notes in the dishes. My favourite courses were the foie gras, venison, and the parsnip agnolotti. My partner, who has a sweet tooth, loved all of the desserts. All in all, it was a lovely evening out with well prepared food. Definitely a meal I recommend for a special occasion. We went here for our birthdays, and felt very spoiled. It was exciting to know what dish would be next. There were so many favorites that I wish I had more of. We had the fall menu, and loved the pasta, fish, bison, and their main desserts. Service was great and they were knowledgeable about all the dishes and ingredients. It's a tiny restaurant and pretty amazing they can cook all that amazing food in that small kitchen. We also enjoyed the front view of all the chefs preparing our food. If I had to say one bad thing about this place, then it was the birthday cake they served us. It was a nice gesture and it wasn’t expected, but they really didn’t have to (nor should’ve served it). The reason is because the cake tasted like a leftover cake that nobody wanted from Cub Foods. Hey, Cubs is my everyday bakery, but it was such a drastic difference/disappointment from the 5* meal we just got served. I wouldn’t serve that cake at all. We were happy without it. They also gave each of us a box of treats to take home. Other than the bday cake disappointment, we would definitely come here again for special occasions. The food is some of the best in the world, the blending of ingredients to take you on a sensory journey is unparalleled! For us being able to learn from Jenna, Ty and the chefs, about the history of the wine producers and the areas of the world they reside in is half of the fun. The service is next level and authentic which makes us want to come back each season for the Demi experience. Congrats to the entire team on your hard work and dedication to your craft! Just reached out to google to see if we can increase the rating to six stars🤩

Food was delicious & well executed that went very well with a nice bottle of riesling. The ambiance was casual and not stuffy. My only complain is that when we arrived to the restaurant there was a big group getting their drinks and we were just standing there for about 10 mins. By the time they were done, it was time to go to our seats. Better planning or improv would be helpful to avoid this queue. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
