5+++ stars for sure! Kara at the bar took such amazing care of me tonight, making three speciality cocktails for me after I ordered my first delicious cocktail from the menu book. She taught me a ton and listened to what I liked/was hoping for. Great chats about the drinks and ingredients. She was the best! Can’t wait to visit my next stop soon in my hometown of Denver. Awesome first Death & Co experience!
Rating 4.5/5 stars I recently had the pleasure of visiting Death & Co in Blagden Alley, and it was a great experience. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. The cocktails were nothing short of spectacular. I tried the Mutineer, a delightful blend of bourbon, rum, cinnamon and mango. next, I had the Lost Cause which was really refreshing. The warm cookies served alongside a cold glass of milk were a delightful surprise. They were SO delicious!!! Unfortunately, the chocolate mousse fell short. It was overly salty, making it nearly inedible. However, the generous gesture of more cookies to compensate was appreciated. The service was impeccable. The staff was knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about mixology. Overall, Death & Co is a must-visit for cocktail enthusiasts. The sexy ambiance, creative libations, and warm hospitality make it standpoint. I will definitely be coming back in the future to try more. Price per person $50–100 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Really exceptional speakeasy experience from start to finish. Superbly creative and well crafted cocktails, organized in a steady profession in the menu, surprisingly good snacks to nom nom on, and fairly good service by knowledgeable but unpretentious servers. A nice addition to Blagden Alley. Price per person $100+ Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Absolutely incredible. I celebrated my 30th birthday at NYC Death and Co. It was so wonderful to spend my 37th with the DC Death and Co. Crew. Kara and the entire team made our time so special. We were able to get a spot outside without a reservation. The cocktails were next level. I am a big fan of gin drinks and these were unforgettable. We even had a little treat mini cocktail in celebration. When l left they even gave me a sweet little birthday card! Thank you for the experience! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I came here to celebrate my birthday and had a great time! Vibes were right and the cocktails were all extremely well crafted! The GM Meghan made sure that our table was taken care of and went out of her way to make it a special occasion! I'd highly recommend you give Death & Co a visit if you're into the craft cocktail scene. Price per person $30–50 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We came out for a nice evening and our friend recommended this spot for some drinks. So first off, when you come in the atmosphere is relaxed, staff was friendly and present and overall service, while a bit slow-ish at times, was still pretty good and they managed to come at the right time to get drinks. Their menu was switching over so there were a few items on the menu that were unavailable but they did give us a heads up, were willing to give some recommendations and they were as accommodating as possible. Drinks: My experience here was absolutely fantastic. Every drink was made so well. Even the ones that weren't really my style, as someone who enjoys cocktails, all were well made and I couldn't say anything was bad. Food: We only order some bread and cheese dish, sorry I don't know exactly what it was but it even though it was a small bite it was still pretty good. Overall we all agreed we had a very good experience here. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're thinking about it. Great drinks ( like really good), their small bites seemed solid and their service was good and even the ambiance is nice and relaxed. Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Went to the soft opening at this location. The service, food, and cocktails were amazing. My friend and I had six different cocktails, and all were amazing. Josh also made a cocktail with Hibiki Whiskey that was not on the menu. The trip from NJ to Washington DC just to visit this amazing cocktail bar was worth it. Can't wait to visit the one in Denver, Colorado. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The city mourned when Columbia Room closed. In its place comes a beloved cocktail bar from NYC. The space and feel is similar to Columbia Room- a beautiful outdoor rooftop patio, a classy inside. Service is also similar. The staff at Death & Company were friendly, helpful, and know what they are doing. The drinks are a little different. Both used quality ingredients in very unique drinks. Death & Company's menu is very large and organized around preferences- "light and playful," "boozy and honest," and so on. Both my drinks came from the "Bright and confident" category. Both were a balance of sweet and sour. The "Cherry Bomb Gimlet" was good, but my favorite was the "Daytona Sand." It's like a daquiri and refreshing on a hot summer night. Prices are similar to Columbia Room- $18-$23 per cocktail. I enjoyed my drinks, but not enough to become a regular. Again, they are quality and worth a visit, but I personally preferred Columbia, but maybe that's nostalgia talking.

Had a chance to attend the soft opening today, ahead of the grand opening. We were greeted with a great host, who sent us upstairs. We were seated outside next the bar ( thankfully it wasn’t a super hot summer evening) the area was well lit with fans and a covered roof. The staff was super friendly, and gave us suggestions on what to order. As it was a soft opening the menu was “limited” but they had quite the selection to choose from. We had the rare essence — shout out to them for the ode to DC, much appreciated! The mutineer, the after glow, midnight rider, and the coconut jam. I honestly cannot select a favorite. All the drinks here good, with a mix of flavors and textures. I was certainly tipsy by the time I left so strong enough to get you going! we were also served some snacks- some olives they were divine ( I don’t like olives so that’s saying something), popcorn and some mixed nuts. We also had a crudite that was fresh with a really great dipping sauce. Lastly they served us some fried chicken with a honey hot sauce. Let me tell you, that chicken was *chefs kiss*! I was there for the drinks but I would certainly come back for the chicken. Over all a good experience. The ambiance and the small nature of the location gives it a great flare! I think the max capacity is 64? The ambiance created was really cute, not overstated or tacky. It’s an elevated drinking spot for sure. This is definitely going to be the go to spot for DMVers the rest of summer 2023 into the fall. The indoor decor was cute— again elevated chic, the restrooms ample and clean. It was less lit in the indoor space but if you like so see your surrounding outside is great also. Shout out again to the very attentive services staff! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
