Wonderful little restaurant off the main square with really friendly service and a wholesome menu with a variety of dishes. I really enjoyed the Boedapest, Beef fillet in sweet n sour sauce with leeks, onion and mushroom and delicious fries. Very reasonable pricing - this dish plus 2 colas is just under 24 euros. If you find yourself in Hilversum, you must try it! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €20–30

Nice little restaurant in the middle of Hilversum town. I have visited this plave many times over the last 15 years. Never disappointed. Food was really good. Is summer there is a nice outside seating area. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person €1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Worse pannenkoeken eaten in the Netherlands. The pancake mix/batter seemed not to be cooked properly and the taste was horrible. I have tried many pancake places in the Netherlands but this one is the worse. Lots of mosquitoes around quite annoying when eating out. On the other hand, location is really nice on a sunny day. Good choices of beer and spirits. Good selection of salads and vegan option on the menu.

It's alright, nothing special. A typical Dutch eet-cafe with the typical dishes. Good if you want a beer and a steak.

Kids play area under the stairs and a diaper changing mat in the WC area! Very tasty food, and reasonably priced. Will definitely go back next time I'm in the area.

De Smidse, it's my favourite place to have a bite to eat when shopping in Hilversum. They have a classic menu with plenty ( not too many ) options. Friendly service and quick kitchen all add up to a perfect lunch with my wife on an amazingly sunny day. Pricing is spot on and worth every penny you spend here. I had the luxe broodje warm vlees and my god it's a good meal. Got me through the day whilst walking about the city. Anyway if you're in Hilversum and you want to enjoy a bite to eat, this is the place to go.

This place used to be good until their staff changed. Now they're rude, lazy and can't make any custom orders. They actually start arguing and being rude
