During our holiday in the Netherlands we visited De Bourgondiër in Hoorn. We chose this restaurant because of its location. The restaurant is located nearby some small canals in the city center of Hoorn. When we visited De Bourgondiër the weather was good and many people ate and drank outside on a kind of boat which is part of the restaurant. I can advise you to reserve a table when you want to eat here. The menu was good but not that great. Most of the disses were very common. I choose the only dish which is not that common. This was a tuna burger with a hot stone. This dish was good. My wife had a carpaccio. The carpaccio was good but not great. As a main dish my wife and I had a steak. The steak was not that great. This is because the meat was sinewy. We also ordered some French fries but these were not in stock. We then ordered sweet potato fries but the waiter then told us they still had one portion of normal French fries. I gave the restaurant 3 stars because of the meat and then prices. I think the prices are too high for the quality. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €90–100

The location, food and service are all very good. Its a combination of a lounge, brassiere with a touch of fine dining in the plate composition. We were here for lunch and enjoyed our hot grilled sandwiches, onion soup and burger. We sat by the canal but then moved in as it started raining a bit. I can recommend this restaurant fully as a place for an extended lunch in a very nice location.

We tried to get some drinks at this place but never get a service. Here’s the story: After we spoke with the waitress if we can seat, we sat at the last table, after approx 15 minutes and waving we didn’t get any attention. we moved to a closer table eventually. My son reached out to another waiter asking if we can get just a menu, he said “yes”, but still no one reached out to us even then. 10 more minutes later the Waitress went near by, we raised a hand and said hi, she smiled and said hi back in a very fake tone passed by to pickup a dirty dishes from another table. After another 5 minutes we just left.

Delish and nutrish. See ya next time! It was heel mooi right on the canal. Staff was really good and very friendly for the Netherlands. Great food, and well prices. Awesome dessert! I'll definitely go back.

Cozy little restaurant inside, a barge for external seating brilliant on sunny days. The food was awsome, the service was impeccable. Great atmosphere. Will definitely eat there again on my next visit to the Netherlands.
