My wife and I decided to pay this restaurant a visit. The aroma when we walked in was very appetizing. The front counter area appeared clean, however our table could have used some additional cleaning.
We ordered the half smoked chicken barbecue, fried okra, and french fries. The chicken was tasty overall, though the skin was a bit chewy as can be expected. The okra likely could have been fried a little longer, but was still good. The fries were just okay and not our favorite.
Overall we will likely return again in a few months to give it another try. The smoked chicken barbecue was a standout. With a bit more attention paid to cleaning the tables.

Brought my mom here for her visit to NC and she loved it! She isn’t much of a BBQ person but she made an exception and didn’t regret it. I got the pulled pork, she got the smoked chicken, her boyfriend got the ribs, and we got peach cobbler for dessert with homemade whipped cream. Will definitely be back :)
I also sent pictures of the food to my friends from out of the area and they’re all very jealous. Prices are reasonable for good quality bbq. You can expect to spend around $15 per person for a sandwich, side, and drink.

Corn Pudding
Nice spot for a quick lunch! A light and clean, no frills, order at the counter joint. On Tuesdays they have $1.79 / rib special, so I ordered 3 of those and the bone-in breast/wing combo with corn pudding. My coworkers got the same as well. Food came out fast, about 5 mins. They did short me a rib but I figured that's probably because my coworkers ordered before me and both only got 2, and the staff was quick to add the extra rib to my plate. They have a good selection of sauces (original, brushfire, sweet wine etc). We all enjoyed our food- I would say it's a bit pricy for lunch (sides are a La carte)- but I at least have leftovers for later. I tried the fried okra too, it was pretty tasty.

Over priced food. I got a salad because it’s the only thing close to healthy on the menu. The size of the salad was actually pretty big. It wasn’t nothing special about it though. Looks like most stuff i keep in my fridge so I probably could made a better one at home. The size of the dressing is a joke. It does not even cover one corner of the salad tray. I’m sure more would have been $$$ . The could at least give two for the salads. The taste wasn’t bad but again, I could have got the few pieces of smoked chicken the gave me for the deli at food lion down the street for a whole pack. Service was friendly. And there was a small wait so I guess they make the salad fresh for order which is good. Overall I won’t be back. Not much of a pork or bbq eater and for the prices it’s not really worth me going back again.

Loved the bbq. The best I’ve had in a really long time and definitely the best in Winston Salem. We(2) ordered the judges platter and took a to-go box home. So much food! Stephen was great and explained they smoke on site! Which was a huge factor for us. Only thing I wish they had was more Lexington style bbq sauces. Will go back regularly.

This was our first trip here and I knew within 3 minutes I would be back. The service is outstanding. The ribs were nice and tender and the brisket was great! I loved the Mac and cheese, and I highly recommend the banana pudding. It has a very light salted Carmel taste. Give it a try.

I absolutely love this place. Great BBQ, and that's saying a lot as I'm from the Lexington area. The staff are very friendly. They will actually let you sample product. Prices are a little high for this sector but the exceptional service and food make it a great value.

Was hoping to leave 5 stars for this establishment. I had the ribs and my husband had the sample platter, we also had collards, Mac and cheese, corn pudding and okra. The sides were tasty, the meats left a lot to be desired. The ribs were fatty and my husband said the brisket was very dry. The dinning room was a mess, they had a silverware area and it was empty except for a few forks that were not clean. I literally had to wipe off the silverware. Hopefully this place improves, I don’t think we will return, our meal was right at $60.
