Very quaint restaurant! Beautiful, vibrant colors and decor. The food was tasty, and fresh. Venezuelan food has a unique overall selection; with some shared elements with other central/South American cuisines. The staff here is very nice, and attentive. Food was freshly made, and very fast. Each dish had a great taste profile. There is a parking lot for customers south of the restaurant/street front. Plenty of spot there! The chicken breast dish was tasty, and simple (in a good way!). The yucca fries were different and nice! Overall everyone enjoyed their dishes! I would not say the fusible has a very strong/rich taste (like Thai/Indian food might…but it is still nice!). Plenty of seating indoors, and a few outdoor spots under a covered tarp. Wishing this place well! Unbelievable!!! Little hole in the wall without the dust, but rather bright and chill atmosphere. Reminds me of my mom's house growing up: Traditional, vibrant, full if life and love!!! First time having Venezuelan cuisine and it won't be the last!!! 5/5 great experience!
First time. Arepas de Pebellon 😋 🤤!!! Very personable staff, feels family run - the type of place where they pride themselves in making the food right…as opposed to sourcing the cheapest ingredients to pass as “authentic” it feels and tastes like the real deal. Will come back for sure, for sure. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
I was attended by Daniel and he was very nice during the transaction. I ordered the pabellón arepa and agua de panela which although it was a bit pricey. It's worth for the quality of the arepa. Perfectly shedded cheese with shredded beef. The beans were superb and the agua de panela is wonderful drink to conclude the meal. He even asked how my meal which was courteous of him. Can't recommend it enough if you're in Pasadena or in LA. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Pabellon Arepa is sooooooo good!!!! Love this place. It was my first time having an arepa. And I am forever a fan as well as recruiting fans :0) They also have unique drinks like chita (a cinnamon drink) and parchita (a passion fruit drink, very sweet and refreshing)! Their yuca fries are soo good and my absolute favorite part of this place is their DELICIOUS GREEN SAUCE! 😋😋😋😋 My only complaint is how long the food takes to come out. I appreciate that it is fresh but we had to wait 15-20 min (felt longer when you are starving). I am the type to get very hangry so unfortunately I need to subtract a star. We chose this Venezuelan restaurant for his high rate. We didn’t feel it was amazing. Food was definitely fresh and made upon order. They offer some vegan/vegetarian options. Arepas don’t have much flavors even though they gave us some sauces. We tried two kinds. Drinks are not homemade but with powder. The lady was not great because my friend talked to her in Spanish and answered her in English. I think it was not respectful at all. Locals eat there as we could have seen. Definitely not our place but maybe yours. Price is a bit high for the food and drinks served. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

First time trying this place and I’m coming back. Friendly service and great tasty food. We ordered the conchino frito arepa and the tequeno de queso, both had so much flavor that you don’t even need to dip it in the sauce. The sauce was the extra cherry on the top, the garlic was my favorite. The spicy sauce wasn’t too spicy/hot if you are concerned with it being too hot. My husband and I came up from San Diego to try this place based on the recommendation from some friends. We were not disappointed at all! We kept ordering different dishes to try as much as we could. The flavors are rich and so delicious. The service was awesome with very friendly staff. Definitely would recommend to anyone wanting to try some incredible Venezuelan cuisine!

This was my first time having Venezuelan cuisine. The restaurant is colorful and has a nice atmosphere. I went with my boi, so we decided to split our dishes so we could get more variety. We ordered two arepas An Arepa is cornmeal slightly doughy on the inside disc that is cut in half to be filled various fillings, like a pita. I tried two kinds... Arepa Pabellon - Juicy shredded beef, sweet plantains, black beans and crumbled cheese in side an arepa. Definitivamente, mi favorito entre los dos. I think you'd like this one for sure! Arepa LLanera - flavorful Steak, sliced riped tomatoes and avocado, and white cheese. Its a solid choice, but the Pabellon is my recommendation. And empanada de queso - it was like an empanada except the shell wasn't much of a pie crust. It was the cornmeal dough stuffed with salty white cheese cheese and deep fired. It was really good. The outside was crisp and golden brown and the inside was soft and fluffy filled with that delicious cheese. A little small for the price, but still good. The appetizer Tequeños de Queso - is a thicc salted white cheese stick wrapped in dough and fried to perfection. I really enjoyed these. I think you would like them too. It comes with two dipping sauces: a creamy green flavorful one and a creamy spicy red one ( not real spicy, but if you are sensitive to spicy stick to the green). And we washed it all down with some Parchita, passion fruit juice. Overall, we had a good experience at Chamos. It seems like it was a good choice.
Me encantan los tequeños, la chicha, la arepa vegetariana! 🤤 this food is sooo good!! Try the tequeños and chicha! Def put some green sauce with the tequeños. The ambiance is really nice. They have Latin music playing and creates a nice vacation vibe while you eat. Meal type Lunch
