After seeing Oude Kerk Delft, it may be a good idea to visit this cafe. Ignore other places, discover the French menu at De V. Visit this place for a break and degust nicely cooked op la, ribs and chicken. It's time to degustate good beer. Great coffee is worth a try here. Live music is performed by musicians in the evening. The gracious staff reflects the style and character of this spot. Enjoyable service is something clients agree upon here. Reasonable prices are to be expected at this cafe. A newfound hidden gem for me! We recently had dinner at Cafe Restaurant de V, and we had a great meal. We ordered the bread with dips as a starter, and for mains we had the daily special (it was pork rollade with baked potatoes and harricot verts, served with wine jus), roast chicken, and steak. All meat was well-seasoned and tasty. Pork rollade was my favorite, I really enjoyed the slightly warm and subtle seasoning they used. The baked potatoes were crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside, just as it should be. The wine jus they served it with was perhaps one of the best jus I have had so far! The food is really good value for the money. We had to skip dessert because their portions were quite big, but I'll definitely try out their apple pie next time. I wish they had more wines by the glass, though. Apart from the food, the service - especially by Dutch standards - was really good! The staff is very friendly and attentive. Our food arrived fast too, and overall we were really happy with the service. We dined outside on the boat, but their indoor space looks very cozy as well. Great food, friendly staff, good service.. Be warned though, things can get rather noisy at times, but then again, that's part of the local atmosphere.. Definitely worth to try things out one time. Update: went back today.. O boy, was the "lunch proeverij" delicious.. Ever so subtle, a little spicy.. Top it off with a draught "la chouffe"... Makes for an afternoont well spent! The food was really good and the staff was very friendly. A very young guy doing his best. Unfortunately, there was a student association event and the noise was unbearable. Only toward the dessert time was when one more experienced waitress offered us to change to another table further from the event area.

Informal restaurant/bar in the city center of Delft. The atmosphere is nice and invites you to come in and to shelter from cold outside. Plenty of space inside and huge bar to seat at. The service is taken by very professional and young people that take care of everything that you can need. Then menu is not very extense but varied enough. The beef burger with pulled chicken is veeery good, coming with spicy fries and salad. Nice to enjoy the place with partner/close friend orwith a big group of people. Very Recomendable

Stopped off here for a beer and a coffee... Great food was a bonus, the spicy prawn starter was superb, had to ask for a spoon so that I didn't waste the sauce. Friendly staff and a great vibe to the place ! (on a Sunday). Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Really nice food and very friendly staff. The interior is quite traditional yet cozy and warm. Only issue was the noise, since it was really hard to hear each other at the table, due to other loud groups, mostly students. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

Though a little slow, service was friendly. Food was good, nothing exceptional. But I did like the attention to my food allergy and the effort to make a nice meal for me. That is a very nice experience. The students group in the same room was a bit loud and probably made us wait longer for our dinner, as they arrived later, but had their dinner earlier (maybe they had a fixed menu?)
