1st time visit. Met a friend here for dinner prior to University of Maryland basketball game. He recommended it. Enjoyed my visit, next time in the neighborhood, I will visit again. Service was attentive and timely, food was varied , my salmon entree was different and very enjoyable. Well lit dining area and good atmosphere. Will recommend to others. Keep up the good work. Burton’s is our go-to Gluten-free lunch and dinner dining out meal for date nights. Appetizers: Maple Sriracha chicken wings are the way to go, skip the Memphis dry rub. If you are in a fries mood get the Truffle fries, they are outstanding. Salads: General Tso Bowl has excellent flavoring and is very good overall, just enough to taste and enjoy your meal. Harvest Vegetable Bowl is a very good vegetarian option, very good flavoring, and is hearty. Burgers: Maxx Burger is very good, to make it better ask for a side of jalapenos, now you will have enough flavor and spice. Entrees: Braised Short Ribs are excellent, but the portion size is small at the price point. We have tried two different risotto dishes, both were good but nothing spectacular. First I thought I was going to have a good night but all the drinks cam out I didn’t receive mine I asked three times it’ll did not so I had to ask the manager for it never did he apologize he just brought it out then my food was not correct by the time they got that right my potatoes are now cold so I only at the steak Remind you never received the bread we ordered when we sat down. Then we asked three times for bread got that when all the food was gone. Asked for the check then she ask how was your service I said absolutely horrible I paid the full check 113.93 I guess because I’m black they thought I was trying to get trying to get a discount because the manager steps in my face saying was your steak not right and getting smart I then said I don’t want a discount I only wanted an apology for my order being messed up I politely left he was Definitely racist thinking all black people try and get the bill lowered . Will never come back . Horrible Horrible experience. The blood of the meat in the potatoes I mean just Horrible. Excellent food! I really recommend this place for upscale bar food. The atmosphere is relaxed, but the menu is superb and at a fine dining level. Everything is made from scratch so they can accommodate any food restrictions or requests. The wait staff was incredibly accommodating, but due to the business, it was a little bit of a wait to receive our drinks. I definitely recommend the bread service and the filet mignon steak was a hit at our table, as was the ribeye. The blue cheese sauce is a must if you like blue cheese flavor, or I recommend the cabernet butter. The asparagus was delicious. Cocktails were amazing! Our server was excellent and was able to get our orders in before happy hour expired. Food was very good in amount, taste and presentation. Would absolutely eat here again. This place is so good. Food was amazing... we had the firecracker shrimp for a starter salmon.. I had the ginger rice and green beans for dinner. My husband had the crab crusted haddock with spinach and garlic mashed potatos... oh and the drinks..... yesssss! Oh and lets Service was excellent.. my waitress was Meghan and girl...she was the best... and the best part of all was she surprised me with a Happy birthday cheesecake 😋 that was out of this world... you have to try this place! What can I say. I was here with my retirement crew. The food was delicious. We ordered appetizers; fried Buffalo cauliflower, spinach dip and nachos and firecracker shrimp all delicious. The Caesar and beet salads delicious. Entrees included crab encrusted haddock, short ribs, burgers and crabcakes..I tasted my friends meals and they were all great, too! We stopped here on the last night of a 3,000-mile camping journey. We were tired, hungry, and really in need of some comfort food. A friend of my daughter's suggested Burton's, and we were so glad she did! It was a nice change of pace from take out boxes and camp food. The food was great and the service was excellent. I had the Beet Salad and the Crab Cake, and my daughter had the Mediterranean Chicken Risotto. It was all very good. I especially enjoyed the beet salad, but it was too much for one person. Took out UMD junior out to lunch here and we’re truly impressed. Service was impeccable. Kiddo and I each had burgers; kiddo literally said after first bite “this thing is on point”. Really good burgers— too many places fail at them so it’s a great measure. Even more impressive was the size of the gluten free menu for our favorite GF eater- literally amazing to see how many options they had, and the care they go to. All gluten free foods are served on square plates, and waitress implored us that if any of the gf food we ordered showed up not in a square plate, to immediately let her know. And the options for gluten free???? My wife had a fried fish sandwich for the first time in years with deliciously fresh fish and (truly shocking) a delicious gluten free bun!!!! Desert was equally amazing— check this place out. The non Gluten Free options are awesome, and the Gluten Free ones are too! The picture is of the Gluten Free fried fish sandwich!
