Our previous visit on a weekday night here was a good experience and we got several good reviews from friends, but we were very disappointed after our dinner here last Saturday. Our table was the furthest corner of the restaurant, squeezed between the bar (next to the coffee grinder and espresso machine where the barman was loudly slamming the coffee piston every 5 minutes) and the toilets and outside door (that was kept open every time one staff went outside so it was very drafty) which was already far from ideal. Besides that, the wait for our starters and mains was way too long. We arrived at 18.30 and after ordering fairly quickly, our mains didn’t arrive until 20.10pm, probably 45min after finishing our starters. When we asked the staff about it, the only response was that the kitchen was very busy. It’s great that business is good with a full restaurant but why set up a table (that’s already inconveniently located) if you can’t ensure a good dining experience? Such a pity! The restaurant is a nice local brasserie but we won’t come back on a weekend day :( Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I think this will be the only restaurant in the center of Hilversum that I will invite my friends and families to dine in. Every dish is well prepared with good selection of materials, in good taste and reasonable price. Nothing ever went wrong. We had dinner tonight. We had an incredible experience. Beautiful service. Delicious food. Very cozy place. Will definitely be back here again and recommend to our friends!

Was back at Monsees after a while, this time for lunch. Again, wonderful. Even though we had ‘only’ a carpaccio sandwich (and a few glasses of wine), the service was outstanding and enthusiastic. Loved the sandwich, the bread so much better than most other places around. Wine selection is also really good. Highly recommended. Have been at Brasserie Monsees recently with friends. At first, we were all agreably surprised by the aesthetics of the garden (calm, under the trees and white linen on the tables). But then, when the various courses started to arrive, we were simply amazed by the food styling and the delicate tastes which started caressing our palate. I have been in several starred restaurants, mainly in France. I've found here the same respect of the materials and products used and a 5-star personnel, professional, attentionate, in perfect harmony with the seriously delicious food!
