Based on the good google reviews, we booked a table. The expectations were quite high and we expected a fine dining experience. Instead, we got maybe even a below average experience, especially considering the restaurant's price level. The food was mostly tasteless and you had to add salt to each portion yourself. The best part of the meal was the dessert. Of course, the food looks great, but that alone is not enough for the pricing of the portions. I don't think we will visit again. Nice and cozy restaurant to spend an evening with authentic kitchen. A bit pricey but definitely worth it. It's better to book a table in advance: the place is quite popular. The best dinner we had in the Lofoten Islands. Loved the scallop starter and the fish of the day (Halibut) - which we both had. The restaurant is inside a very old warehouse which has been restored immaculately. A truly charming space to enjoy local food with a twist. Before the orders came in, we were served sourdough bread with delicious walnut butter. We really couldn't stop eating. We then had the tørrfisk royal, a re-hydrated modern utilization of local stockfish. It came really well garnished with carrot puree, egg and adequately served with small cured local ham cubes to amplify flavor. Absolutely delicious with a glass of prosecco. Also ordered the tenderloin which came cooked to a perfect point and served with a sweet bordelaise sauce, tomato, brocolli and potatoes. Well done to Borsen Spiseri for being one of the best (if not the best) restaurants in the Lofoten region. Excellent presentation, delicious food. Stockfish for main course is highly recommended! The portions were big, there was a bowl of steamed potato came with the fish. Maybe can choose to skip starter or dessert if your stomach is small. The location is not very convenient, some 20 minutes walking from Svolvær centre.

Absolutely delicious. We tried of course the stockfish and the fish of the day (halibut in our case). The combination of flavours was in both cases exquisite. The biggest surprise came though with the almond parfait, which was definitely something special (fennel, olive oil, white chocolate...) but amazingly good. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner

If you really wanna have a fantastic, delicious, unique and REAL Lofoten food experience, this is the place to go! 😍 The restaurant itself is an ancient wooden building from back on the days. You really feel you are back on time, then the sophisticated and high standard service specially from the waiters Marias,Christian and the rest of the team ( They are smiley, professionals and explain all the dishes 😊 ) AND the FOOOOOOD!!! is absolutely delicious, made with local ingredients. 😉 Børsen, thank you once again for this UNIQUE EXPERIENCE! 😍 We will definetely come back soon! ♥️ I still thinking on the Halibut dish I had last night! 😃 can’t wait to come back.
