Love Dewey's. The Sugarcake is the best, the thing sugar and ginger cookes run close second. Everyone in the store is nice & helpful. There are so many items to choose from, many eclectic items. The only downside is they do not sell Dewey's sweatshirts, would love to have those for myself and friends. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

So I called Dewey’s to make me a cake for my cousin retirement ceremony. I am in VA so we had to do everything over the phone and email. The customer service was excellent and Daisy took great care of me. She told me to trust the process because I was unsure if she saw my vision especially when Daisy said that it will be 2 sheet cakes. I was like that’s going to be a huge cake and I’m unsure if the design will look right. But boy did they deliver. Words can’t express how happy I was when I saw the cake. It made my cousin so happy and he deserves every bit of it! Not only was a beautiful cake, it tastes really good!! Thank you Dewey for making my vision come to life!!! Now check out these pics!! The best cake and deserts. The cake is so moist and soft. There are so many flavors to choose from. They have cupcakes, brownies, ice-cream, and so much more. A super cute place to get all of your party needs. I always make sure to stop in when I'm in the area. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I've been eating incredibly delicious Dewey's pastries, cookies, and cheese straws for decades. Graduated Wake Forest 1979 and were making runs to Dewey's, at this same location, constantly. Didn't actually buy anything but it's more of a shop/ bakery combination. Lots to look at and plenty of north Carolina themed merch! They do single serve desserts and planned decorative cakes, so come check them out!

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Placed an order for 48 white on white cake squares for a party and the quality is very inconsistent. Placed the order on Thursday for a Saturday pick up and it seems like they saved old squares from Thursday and Friday then made more to complete the order. I have had left over/ old cake from Deweys enough times to know that we got old and fresh squares for our event. The icing was hard you can hear the scrapes on top. Also the cake was so so dry in all of my pieces except 1. I had 3 squares at the event (1 for me and tasted my kids as well) I also got 6 to take home from the event yesterday and the cake feels 4-5 days old already. That's 1:9 ratio of freshness from the cake I tasted. I'm not sure if they did this to cut cost/loss or because we had a big order but definitely put a bad taste in my mouth. I will not order Deweys again. I gave 2 stars because the lady who took the order and explained things was nice. I always the goodies I purchase from Dewey’s. The assistance is usually helpful. I will have to say the last two times I purchased the small biscuits they did not seem to be as fresh as normal. One of the best Dewey's bakeries in Winston. Treats are always great and store has lots of local themed merchandise. Throughway shopping center has lots of cool stores while you are there. Staff was helpful.

My late mothers favorite. She was Moravian and I would always come and get a big thing of Moravian ginger cookies and Moravian sugar cake that they sell to take home for Christmas. I am so grateful this place still exist.
