Grace was really kind and attentive. Good pizza with high-quality ingredients. The crust is thin and cripsy. Top 5 pizza place in Minneapolis. The Caesar salad was nice. The dressing was housemade with anchovies. We will be back. The atmosphere was really loud. However, they had a birthday party with 20 small girls. Black Sheep used to be one of my favorite restaurants. The downtown St. Paul location was the best and this Nicollet Ave location isn’t bad, regardless if people call Nicollet Eat Street now for some reason. The first time I went to this Nicollet Ave location, we ordered drinks and never saw our waitress again. We counted our losses and left. The second time around was better. Unfortunately, the crust was too burnt on most of the sides though. The pizza crust at the end of a pizza is usually a tasty little prize for finishing a slice. A crusty crescendo of soft, tasty dough. Our pizzas today had crusty, crispy, black crust that went uneaten. Kidding of course, I’ll eat anything! But, whoever was working the ovens must’ve been new or something. A twenty dollar pizza should be baked with a little more care. It was also unfortunate that the side of sauce was so expensive and it was less than half full. But, most of the pizza was still delicious. I love me some oven fired ‘za. Black Sheep is worth a try, but only to cement the fact that Punch is better, cheaper, faster, and doesn’t make up street names on already famous avenues.
