This restaurant and University of California Museum of Paleontology can be both really attractive for tourists. The key aspect of Berkeley Thai House is Thai and Vegetarian cuisines. Perfectly cooked thai tofu, broth and vegetable curry are the tastiest dishes. To taste good mango sticky rice, ice cream and mango dessert is a really nice idea. You will hardly forget great thai iced tea, ice tea or lemonade that you can degust. Many guests find the staff cute. Prices at this place deserve attention since they're democratic. Welcoming staff and tasty food always make a good combo! Love the Garlic Noodles. So good! This place is not bad but is hard to compare with other Thai restaurants I’ve been to. Parking is on the street and hard to find. Street parking is also not free. Service is welcoming and the place is clean. For taste, it’s not bad but not great. I had the garlic noodles, which was good but I think the noodles were overcooked. My son had the red curry but that was disappointing to me. The curry was thin, didn’t have much flavor, and was overloaded with vegetables but only a little chicken. Very pretty and convenient location close to campus. Outdoor seating area can fit large groups. Food is good and reasonable prices. If you like spicy, need to request 🔥 Berkeley has so many Thai restaurants, it's hard to choose where to go. Had a great lunch here! My friend loved her curry and really liked the presentation of her rice and vegetables (her words: "it's shaped like a heart! How cute!!"). They have iced Thai coffee here, too, which isn't a typical staple of Thai restaurants but one that I definitely enjoyed trying. It was just the right blend of creamy, bitter, and sweet! I will say that their prices for extra sauce are a bit much - definitely shouldn't be more than half the price of a Thai iced tea!

Ordered the combo pad Thai with tofu, vegetable roll, and Sprite. The staff were friendly and the ambience on the outdoor patio deck was good. Overall, the food was okay. Pretty good portion but very bland. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

Had food delivered only to find out one of the orders was burnt! Only giving 2 stars because my dish was fine (yellow Thai curry), but my wife’s dish (Pad See Ew) was totally burnt. Who ever is in charge of what comes out of the kitchen really needs to keep better tabs on the quality control. Burned eggs, burned noodles, burned Tofu! Unreal…. Not a great experience..ill say the good before the bad. Service was pretty good. Bbq chicken was delicious and veggie egg rolls. Rice display was cute.. But everything else wasn't good. Food is super bland. The worst thing was the pad thai which as you can see in the picture wasnt barely touched. We didn't even take it togo. We asked if we could exchange it first they said no. (Guy)They we said could atleast pay half since we ate some of our combo (steamed veggies and appetizer) they said no I said well we don't like it and don't want it. The lady told me we should have asked for an exchange before we were leaving we waited to long. I told her we did but the guy refused. And the also added their tip in which was 8.84$ and I don't know any place that does that. This seriously has to be one of the worse thai restaurants in Berkeley I won't be back again (for a 3rd time)

This was the first Thai food restaurant we visited when we moved to Berkeley more than two years ago but since then the quality of the food has gradually slipped. It's no longer our go-to for Thai food. I echo what others have said here: the garlic noodles are ok, the curries are thin on heavy on the veggies but have little chicken or meat even when you pay for extra. The fried rice is meh. The prices, too, have increased dramatically, which be ok if the quality stayed the same but sadly it hasn't. BE AWARE!!!! They charge 15% to 18% of Gratuity or Mandatory tipping in advance to your bill. It's okay if their food was good or just okay, but still, I really hate it when they do that. First, they have a deceptive way of charging you extra money if you don't ask them. They charge extra money here and there for any kind of meat. The food was not made with fresh ingredients. They used either canned or frozen baby corns and carrots. The potatoes were also soggy . The chicken and beef were awful because they cut them into really thin pieces and tasted rubbery. The curry was so water down, there was no curry flavor to it. It was over priced and it is not even authentic thai food. It was our first and the last time.
