My friend is a wine club member so we stopped by for some tasting. Their wines are amazing. We also did a truffle and wine tasting, it was amazing!! They pair them up perectly!
David is amazing! We had so much fun!!
Always a treat to sit on the patio with a glass of Baldassari wine. Today David, an excellent host, suggested the Syrah, and it was a perfect sip to start the holiday. Watch for their updated nibbles and events and come enjoy Windsor hospitality.
Great wine, amazing staff!
We stumbled upon the Baldassari tasting room on the first night of our Napa/Sonoma visit, and it was a definite highlight of our entire trip.
David was a phenomenal host: so welcoming & knowledgable!
We brought several bottles home & can’t wait for our first wine club shipment!
This review is a little late in coming but "better late than never"--as they say. My partner and I had a Saturday to spend in Sonoma in early March. We took the opportunity to do some wine tasting and decided to visit Baldassari. It was long past lunch by then, unseasonably chilly, We found ourselves ensconced in the corner of an inviting tasting lounge. The warm sun shining through the windows, light chatter of friends at the counter, and the comfortable couch made for a cozy, easy afternoon of sampling Baldassari's delicious wines. We can't say enough about Dom and his gracious hospitality as he took time to explain the wines (with map showing the different regions where the grapes are grown) and to answer our questions about the wine business (contracts between wine makers and grape growers; how climate has affected the business with more frequent extreme temperatures, etc.). It was a memorable afternoon, and we can't thank Dom enough for that. We highly recommend a visit to Baldassari for the wine and, certainly, for Dom's hospitality. Gerald
David was an excellent host for our spontaneous wine tasting! We were so happy to end our day relaxing with an excellent glass of Pinot! We had a wonderful experience and cannot wait to return!!
My goodness - can’t believe this place only has six reviews (at least as of 12/19/20).
We found Baldassari purely by chance: we were actually walking into the cute pet place next door and Deb came outside to chat with us. She invited us in, and we’ve been members ever since! She and Dom in the tasting room have always taken great care of us and everyone went sent there.
It was in 2018 when we first met Deb, and we still buy the majority of our wine from this incredible winery.
All of their wines are great, and our favorites right now are the 2017 Chardonnay and Syrah. Everyone we’ve shared them with has also loved them, so it’s worth a shot to try them out.
Before you buy that big-winery bottle, do yourself a favor and try the beautiful wines at Baldassari. You can thank me later.
We’ve been here three or four times in the past two years when visiting Sonoma. We love this tasting room and the skill of the winemaker. A small family own tasting room and wine producer. Great wines at a good price point. Family heritage of coming to America. Once a week there’s music. Great local vibe that makes us want to retire in Windsor and make this our local hangout. You’ll feel at home.
My wife and I had great time here! Vibe was super chill, the wines are fantastic and Matt was very informative about the the specific regions around the Russian river valley that each wine was grown. We will definitely be stopping in regularly from now on.
These wines are full of surprises! Tons of interesting flavors and notes! Finally a rosé full of flavor but not undrinkably sweet. And the Malbec has a surprising sweet pipe tobacco that is crazy. All the wines finish open and light.
The wines are fine here as they are at most places in Sonoma County. Unfortunately, an older gentleman treated us with extremely rude service. Enough to never come back and discourage others from similar treatment.
