It is one of the rare places in Groningen with proper cakes (beyond the usual dry brownie/banana bread collection 😁). They’re not the best I’ve had, but very decent and pretty, and I also like that they serve tea in beautiful old fashioned cups (delft porcelain style). The terrace was also nice in summer, although lately not so much cos Grote Markt is constantly under construction.

Great location and beautiful place, but that's about it. I've ordered cheesecake and it was okay, nothing special. Coffee however tasted like warm milk with 5 grains of instant coffee, yuck.

Fancy place but the cakes don't live up to that. I had one cake and ice cream. Found not only one but two small hairstraws on/in the cake. Left those peace's but had already eaten most of it. To polite to say that to the waiter so I just paid way to much for what it was worth and left feeling uneasy
