Went to the Rotterdam Rooftop walk on Sunday 4th of June. Got hungry and our group settled on Backwerk for Sandwiches. I got the Tandoori Chicken Sandwich (Topped with freshly marinated chicken, homemade coriander spread, romaine lettuce, mango chutney and cucumber). Very convenient and the sandwich really curbed my hunger, great lunch.
This is where I ate the best sandwich of my life. I will never forget it 😋
I'm not sure what was the name of the sandwich, but it had Camembert cheese, tomatoes, spinach and a nice sauce which I think was red pesto? And I think the cloud-soft bread was ciabatta.
We got a couple of sandwiches with some of my friends at this shop a week ago. The two guys who served us were totally disrespectful and rude to us. They were preparing the food in gloves but they also touched everything else with their gloved hands, the money, the cash register, the other shop equipment, and then they went back preparing other sandwiches. Leaving the shop, we decided to throw the sandwiches out as we saw the non-hygienical way they were prepared. We were utterly disgusted. We will never return there! Avoid this place if you don't want to get affected with something. :(
