I genuinely loved this place! The oreo late was thick, flavorful, and delicious (more expensive side of the average coffee in Knoxville). There’s plenty of seating and many places to plug in your laptop. It’s optimum for doing your homework or work here. The furniture shop is quirky and cluttered, but it’s showcased in a way that won’t stress you out. The seating area is simple and woodsy. There’s not a lot of parking here.
Backroads market is more then a furniture store, it is also a coffee shop. It is a very cute place to enjoy a great tasting coffee. There is space for one to get work done. They also have it set up to help people be able to connect and be together by the board games they have there. The staff was supper nice and friendly with whatever you needed. There is free Wi-Fi here so you can work or study as you please. There is limited space parking near the door.
Coffee, tea, and food is always amazing. The atmosphere is cozy and warm. Staff is always welcoming and kind. The sticker selection is on point, and the other items available to purchase are always beautiful and exciting.
Adorable shop. I got a peach lemonade & the raspberry/creamcheese toast. Both were delish! Was not expecting fresh sourdough for the toast, wish I had ordered 2 slices! Giftshop side itself was a bit unkempt, but cute selection of homegoods. Seating area was quiet and spacious, and had free snacks and a “leave a mug, take a mug” wall. Will be back!
Absolutely wonderful place to study and chill. The coffee is excellent and quite sizable for its price. The staff is very polite and super chill. If you are looking for a place to study and have a nice coffee, definitely stop by here!
This is a really cute coffee shop/furniture store hybrid! I came for the coffee, so I can't speak as much to the furniture side, but it appears quality. Coffee was good with your typical coffee shop prices. One exception, at least while I was there they had a completely free snack bar. I'm talking free scones, chips, dip etc. Absolutely incredible! Backroads also has a really nice vibe. Very comfortable and a great location to relax and talk with friends at.
Homely place that is wide open and spacious. Low-key but with plenty of table space and very nicely lit areas. It uses white-light thankfully instead of gross orange light. The wifi password was posted in two visible locations and there is a table for water. An essential done right. Couches. Lots of college types as well, a gaming group met up here. Has some nice random market goods like bird seed bricks. The ambient nose is quiet! The only comparable places I've been too are few and far between.
The only difficult is the limited hours. But this is no massive metropolis, so the hours will work for most average day-walker people. Coffee experience is typical. Lattes, Caps, Tea, non-coffee options.
Overall, very woodsy feel too on an amazing concrete floor, but not "industrialist modern" like many of these new coffee shops these days. So that's great.
10/10
This coffee shop may have one of the best atmosphere's I have came across. Plenty of seating, chill, and awesome stuff to look at. I just wish that they had better hours.
