Great beer selection. I'm not too busy in the bar, but it's hard to find parking in the area due to other shops/stores. It gets busy in the evening. Lots of arcade games. We had a small wait for duck pin bowling, but it was too long. This duck pin is elevated from the standing area, which made it a little weird, but we enjoyed our game.

Booking the small event room was a perfect space to celebrate my golden birthday with a small group and little ones. The games, food and drinks were great and the friendly staff were helpful with all questions and requests. Definitely keeping this and the other spaces available in mind for future events!

I feel like whenever I visit Dubuque these days this is where I end up. My friends and family like to come here and I can see why. There's a decent drink selection (If I had my way I'd lower the number of sours and balance it with more cider options) and plenty of seating. The arcade and games are fun too. Some may not work but that's par for the course. I give Dubuque and Backpocket a lot of credit because most of the bars in Dubuque are the same thing with a different name. This place shakes it up and shows that it's okay to add a little more. 5 stars from me!

We threw a surprise party for my husband’s 30th birthday & Backpocket made it so easy! The event space was clean and beautiful. The food was amazing! And the service was incredible! I definitely recommend checking out Backpocket for any upcoming events you might have!

Great experience hosting an event in the large event space. Good food, really nice space, friendly atmosphere and staff. Only complaint is they add a 20% “large party fee” tip to the final bill. If we had a dedicated server taking and delivering drink orders or doing something to help keep tables clean then I get it. But literally the only thing done by staff is setting the food out. Other than that, 100% recommend Backpocket for events.

Amazing. Had my bridal shower here in 2022 and my baby shower in 2024 and it was nothing short of amazing. It was so easy to plan with them and very reasonably priced. HIGHLY recommend! Has a rustic look and feel. Tables, chairs, booths, and greenery wall all included!

We had a great time at Backpocket’s event room. We used the large room for a 30-person party, but there was certainly room for more. There’s a great buffet counter, plenty of seating, we loved the direct access to the bar, and the room is beautiful.

We held our athletic banquet at Backpocket in their west room and it was a perfect afternoon! Great space to move around and mingle, but cozy and beautiful. We had our own bartenders, and private space. The service was incredible, and so was the buffet. Costs for rental and food service are also very reasonable. Extremely happy with our experience, we'll be booking again next year! A big thanks to Mike - our event manager yesterday.

Chicken tinga tacos were delicious!! Little kick to them but super tasty! I enjoyed the tikki sour beer as well! Met some very nice and kind people. Bartenders are also very friendly! Ended up back here another day while on my work trip, bartender second time around was completely unattentive and took 30 minutes for her to bring our beers over and that was after we went up to ask about it. Mix feelings about service
