The dish I had was amazing! I think it was the short ribs. The supporting vegetables were good, too. The waitress was very pleasant and accommodating. Would definitely recommend this place for a great dining experience. 🍽

Was recently here for Diner en Blanc’s starting point before the pop up dinner. The jazz lounge was large and inviting. The bar tender was doing a fabulous job keeping up with the number of people on site. They had a signature cocktail for the evening which ended up being very good. We will back to check them out. Parking is at the hotel or you can find street parking for free.

This place just opened so I think previous negative reviews were just related to them working out the kinks in the first week. But we went for a jazz brunch on a Sunday and it was perfect. Delicious food, great cocktails, friendly and punctual service (despite having quite a few tables occupied) and fantastic jazz. Beautiful space too. This place is definitely a new downtown gem, will be back soon. The BB Cold Brew Martini was my favorite
Breakfast tacos were awful. Soggy shells, undercooked oily corn, mealy overcooked broccoli, and limp potato wedges dripping with warm brown oil. The taste of everything was bland and not fresh.

5 people, 2 orders of pancakes, 1 French toast, 1 eggs Benedict, 1 bagel and lox. Terrible. Pancakes were dry, flat and over cooked. Bagel was burnt and the avocado cream cheese was grainy. Eggs Benedict did not have hollandaise sauce, just a busted yolk. 85 dollars for seriously bad food. Find some place else to eat.

I struggled between a 3 and a 4 on this review. There were very good things and not so great things about the night. The service was attentive and friendly. The appetizers we ordered were quite good as were the protein options for our mains. My salmon was perfectly cooked and my husband really enjoyed his pork chops. However both our sides were very bland leaving something to be desired. Seasoning perhaps. The Astor margarita was very good but the rest of the cocktails seemed heavy on the simple syrup, far too sweet. I rarely send anything back but I honestly couldn’t finish one of my drinks. In smite of the mixed food and drink quality, the entertainment was very good and we lingered a bit to listen to the band. I know they are knew and have kinks to work out. I hope they gets better as I also root for new businesses.

Forced to use this daily as staying at the hotel. Service extremely slow, no urgency to anything. Food average to poor. Definitely make the effort to go elsewhere.

If you're going for the vibes and the music, absolutely go here. The atmosphere is great and they have a great lineup of Rochester's best jazz musicians. The food isn't good so don't come for that.

Highly disappointed: We made an in-person reservation well in advance to treat our mothers and wives to brunch for Mother’s Day – with a lengthy conversation with Astor about the menu for brunch on Mother's Day. A couple of days before Mother’s Day, we learned that the restaurant mistakenly booked us for the Sunday AFTER Mother’s Day. After driving to the restaurant (because we could not reach them by phone) to request the change and notify them of their mistake, the manager said that they are now full for Mother's Day and there is nothing they could do about it. This is highly problematic because we are now stuck since most restaurants are fully booked, and our relatives have to reschedule their own plans. Astor really dropped the ball – and we were not offered a resolution, suggestion, or put on a waitlist – only “we are full this Sunday, but would you like to keep the following Sunday.” What??? The food is never greater than customer care, and we had a frustrating experience.
Waited 1 hour for French toast!
Food came cold so we decided to leave. Manager caught an attitude when our table told him we wanted to leave and not get the cold food remade.
Was happy to support a new business but left very disappointed.
