Askim Kro is located by the old E18 on the outskirts of Askim centre. The place has a large free car park and is well suited for travelers by car. The place is a mixture of a cafeteria and a restaurant and seems somewhat run down. The menu consists of both Norwegian and international dishes, but seems a bit boring. The service is efficient, but not genuine and I miss more joy and commitment from the employees. The food is quickly served and both potatoes and vegetables seem to have been vacuum packed or frozen. The presentation of the food is boring and the portion is small compared to other nearby eateries. However, the food tastes good. The price level is high and does not match what is served.
