I am Brazilian and was excited to check out the food truck. First of all, the owner is super rude. When my family and I approached, he started saying in Spanish to his cook roughly translated: “I bet they won’t buy anything.” I decided to let it slide because I genuinely wanted to try the food. According to one of the other food truck owners I chatted with, the guy worked in a Brazilian restaurant for many years and learned to make the food. Boy was I disappointed. It isn’t barbecue. The picanha was terrible, maybe pan cooked, tough, and the beans were watery and not fully cooked. The only thing he nailed, and the reason for the 2 stars, is the rice. The rice was great! That’s the only nice thing I have to say about the food though. I may give them another try in case they were just having an off day because I really like the idea of a Brazilian food truck. The place has other food trucks to try. The downside is that everyone is smoking weed. Nothing against it but it sucks for those of us who hate smoke blowing by our faces.
