Spent over $60 on a box of truffles and the gentleman that boxed them could not bother to put a glove on. So he barehanded every last one of them. They were put in there so beautifully, but it’s still that last little step that would make me not cringe when the kids are grabbing them to eat one. “Did he just leave the bathroom and then box up our delicate truffles?” Nobody knows? This place was a pleasant surprise, the menu is extensive and the customer service excellent. We stopped in for coffee after dinner; I was just expecting coffee in a paper cup and chocolate in a bag, what I got was an experience. Everything was presented with quality ingredients and care. I had the Mocha and my wife had an Irish coffee that came with a piece of chocolate. She said it was the best surprise ever because the chocolate went so well with the Irish coffee.

Made a delivery to Animas Chocolate Company in Colorado, and my student and I were met with a very cheerful, respectful and courteous owner of the company. We left with a few pieces to nibble on, and I must rank my personal experience including the taste and customer service on a 1000, if I had to rate them between 1-10.

Nice place. People were super friendly. Employees were awesome. Had a recommendation to try "The Float". Definitely interesting and not what I would normally order but tried something new. Chocolates were amazing. Cost for everything was decent.

We were visiting from Texas, browsing Main st. And we came across this shop! So glad we went in, we voted for our favorite gingerbread house! They were unique as well. Nikki was so amazing she gave us a Truffle tour. We chose the box of 9 picked out the ones we wanted & they were so good!! We also ordered hot cocoas and they were delicious! Also purchased a stocking stuffer! Plenty of seating available inside.

My Hot Chocolate was cold enough to drink quickly. Also don't Get the Chocolate soda in a glass. Was also with a Friend when he gave a girl Chocolates from this place. She didn't talk to him again. Service Dine in Price per person $1–10 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4

This is a staple every time we are in durango! The hot chocolates you can get so many different ways and then sit down in a really nice relaxed atmosphere and enjoy. The one I get always comes with a cinnamon swizzle stick , and it makes all the difference in the taste of my hot chocolate. The chocolates that they have are really pretty off the chain. Do yourself a favor and stop by this little gem!! We started off with a classic hot chocolate and ended up ordering an additional 5 times, trying different drinks, croissant, truffles and cookies! Everything was great! The whiskey chaider is worth traveling from TX for! Holy cow, what I would give for that recipe! 😉 The staff was so friendly! The place was clean and organized well! 10 out of 10 for this wonderful place!

I recently visited Animas Chocolate & Coffee and was genuinely impressed by the quality of the chocolate made in-house – it's absolutely delightful! However, I feel there's room for improvement with their espresso. It's good, but doesn't quite match the exceptional standard set by their chocolate. If they can elevate their espresso to the same level, this place would be unbeatable. Looking forward to my next visit and hopefully an even better coffee experience!
