Fantastic Resturant. Absolutely 10/10 for me. The servers were attentive, food was great as well. The menu has pictures of all the food, very well explained and inviting as well. A large range of options as well. Totally recommend for family outings or groups. The food was flavourful. Neat and organised environment too. Nice dining environment, clean and spacious. Many choose on the menu. We ordered 4 dishes, all delicious (especially the soup)! Tea is a bit pricey (compared to other Chinese restaurants). We have a tradition of going to a Chinese restaurant every weekend. We were greeted and offered a table, and 10 minutes later we were offered drinks. We ordered beef in a pot, it was low-grade meat with veins and fat. The duck was dry with bones. In the dish, chicken in sweet and sour sauce was 30% chicken and 70% was pepper and onions. The aubergine dish was incomparable, perhaps the best aubergine of my life! Tea is very expensive! Buy rice separately! Very clean and cozy atmosphere. Will I come back again? Good question! Christmas special dinner was 10 out of 10, nice complimentary dishes with not a single one we didn't like. Unfortunately as someone else said the music gets repetitive, maybe it's because of Christmas music but that's a very minor point in my opinion. It is one of the highest rated Chinese restaurants in the Netherlands. My expectations were pretty high. 1. Atmosphere is good. But as the restaurant gets busier, I could smell cooking oil. The background music got a bit too repetitive. 2. The service at the beginning was ok, although no offer of helping handing out our coats. That’s fine. But I’m not happy with the rest of services. I had to ask twice for cutleries. The spoons were missing at the table when we sit. When the soup came, the waitress didn’t realise there weren’t any spoons. Plates were taken away but didn’t offer clean ones. The guests next to us had one waiter to remove the plates and another waitress holding clean plates to replace. Why treated your guests differently? I had to say that for the same range of restaurants, this amber garden offered me the worst service experience. No body even asked me if I’m ok with anything. 3. The food was a bit of mix. Starters were good, Xiaolongbao and the duck soup. Fish was ok but clearly a localised version (not spicy enough and the source was watery). Braised tofu probably had the tofu added too late, which gave no time for the tofu to absorb flavour from the soup. Zucchini dish was average but the pork belly clearly fried well. Overall experience was bad. I was thinking to book the Christmas dinner for the family. After this, nah, probably never return. Very nice food and good service. I loved the bubble tea since you can really taste the tea. We pre-ordered the duck so we didn’t have to wait. Overal they were very fast with serving us the food and the food was flavorful. I wouldn’t order the eggplant again, since it’s too sweet for my liking. But I’ll definitely be back! Amazing food and great service! Best Chinese restaurant I’ve been to so far. Only wasn’t the biggest fan of the bubble tea, there was very little tea flavor and the tapioca tasted old and not that chewy anymore. But all in all the food and experience were very good.
