Hands down the best and most authentic Mexican food in Montezuma County! I had the Birria taco (which won best taco in Cortez and Montezuma County 2023) the fish taco and carne asada taco. SO DELICIOUS! Trust me. Don’t wait. Don’t pass go. Go here instead! Oh and don’t forget to order the hand made Cadillac Margarita from Aldo at the bar! So good 😋 All their food and salsas in their salsa bar and hand made to order. Great good at decent prices. You cannot go wrong here! We stopped at this quaint restaurant on a road trip from Telluride, and I was happy with our choice to eat here. The food came out quickly and was good for an inexpensive, quick dine-in spot along our trip. The staff were helpful in giving recommendations and were friendly. Just had lunch here with my godmother who has been raving about the food as she's local and has been here more then several times and highly recommends it. The food was fantastic! She had the birria tacos, I had one also plus lengua tacos and they are generous with their portions and the flavors are fantastic! Would definitely come again and again. The prices are very fair! Delicious food and drinks, friendly service. It was a little bit cold in the restaurant when we were there and the 2 top tables are pretty small, but these points were outweighed by the great meal! Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

If you don’t know anything about Mexican cuisine then come here. There’s two of us and we got 4 birria tacos a coke each and chips and salsa (which you have to pay for) and total was $50 ! The tacos were almost good they need to make them more with more flavor like the traditional tacos. So my opinion it’s way too expensive and the food is not worth the price. New Mexican restaurant that opened up in Cortez. I got the lengua, tripas, and carne asada tacos which are all delicious and the tripe was crispy. Also got the sopas which was packed on top. Now my favorite Mexican restaurant in Cortez! I have been missing a good authentic taqueria dearly and am so happy to find one in our small town. The BEST tacos I have ever had. My dad has been searching high and low for a good AL pastor and he's in heaven. The atmosphere is fantastic, they gave my 7 month old an Xmas gift.
