Really good vegetarian middle eastern food. We got a large platter to share with labneh, smoked eggplant dip, rice and lentils, potatoes and bread. Good quantity for two people. The best surprise in Amsterdam! And this is truly a delicious surprise! If you are around, don’t wait another second. Even if you are not around, hop on your bicycle and try the delicious middle-eastern dishes suggested by A Beautiful Mess. Also go for the two mocktails. You won’t be disappointed. Delicious, wholesome middle eastern food. The dishes here are made with love, and you can tell that they really want you to enjoy your food. The service is top-notch. We got a free soup because they were out of the dish I originally wanted (how nice!)The kofta was amazing - juicy, spiced and very filling. Great place, totally recommend!!! Amazingly fresh taste and the team is so polite! Very comfy, you can have a meal but also work if you need as they have good wifi and plenty of space with air conditioning. Top food!

I didn’t stay for long and I’ve never been there before BUT THEY SERVED ME THE BEST WARM TONY CHOCOLONELY CHOCOLATE MILK I HAVE EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE!!!!! ❤️ + we were with a lot of people and the staff kindly fixed us a big table. I happened to stumble on this restaurant when looking for something to eat after 21:00. This kitchen was open until ten. Don't let the dark unlit parking lot, the desolate old prison area and am the construction work fences deter you. Once you walk through the dark the tunnel entrance you end up at a beach club in the old prison yard. You have reached your destination 😬 Anyway, the concept with refugees is cool. The food is good. The ambience feels relax and the prices are good as well. Unique place in Amsterdam that will no doubtlessly change a lot in there coming years with the white new neighbourhood being constructed there.

Service is HORRRRRIBLE !!! They claimed they were busy but the outside had a few parties. It took us 1.5 hours to get our food we were just with our drinks for so long. We also had to find the waiter to get a menu after 20 mins of sitting their waiting to be acknowledged. The food was very good but not at the expense of waiting for 1.5 hour. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
